and i KNOW, not all authors are the same and there're still authors who know how to tell a story and arent afraid to do it.
but, for ME, it's getting harder to find scifi books that have an impact on me the same way mckillip's, tanith's, hobb's or mckinley's books had.

it's been a few years that most of the time, when im reading a book, i feel that its author was afraid to push the limits of their own story. maybe bc they didnt want to be called problematic or bc they just wanted 'the dark vibes without actually exploring it', but it's SO sad.

in my mind, daerion went, at the end of S1, with dunk and egg (and, later in the journey, aerion reunites with them).
why? first, bc i LOVE angst and this would be angst at its best; second, bc with dunk at their side, the three brother finally would talk.

that wont stop me to write them, of course. but it's funny to know that, if i ever see one of my stories published, i'll be hated and cancelled for being "too problematic and depraved"

each day im more sure that the world is not ready for my enemies to lovers stories. bc, lets be real, people codependent/obsessive/manipulative characters whom love will make them even worse than theyre at the beginning.

will i be able to survive till saturday with this level of anxiety?? we'll see, my friends.

it's funny (NO) how people think that if you like characters who're awful human beings, then that means youd like to date them irl and that's SO fucking stupid.
