Yeah so at this point, both Discord support and their CTO are repeatedly ignoring my attempts at contact and inquiry as to what's going on here. Unbelievably frustrated with this entire situation, and what feels like a complete and utter lack of regard for their dedicated users.

Aparently, TikTok updated a new setting across all videos to "Allow Tiktok to remix your video with AI." This setting is per-video, and in order to disable it you must INDIVIDUALLY turn it off across ALL VIDEOS.

At this point, I'm considering deleting my account.

I have nothing against TikTok creators, some of the best art and animation I've seen has come from the platform, but I can't say it's been very fun trying to grow my audience there. Especially when the company implements shit like this that punishes me for uploading bulk content, ironically.

It's been said a million times, but short form stuff really is just a constant gamble of "Ooohh, but maybe the NEXT video will give me dopamine!" Trapping you in the endless scroll.

And now, with this most recent AI integration, I'm wondering what use the platform has for me as a creator.

Even using it, God, most videos I see is either:

1) The most toxic, ragebaiting opinion ever conceived
2) Someone telling a story with no visuals
3) A funny skit
4) A genuinely beautiful piece of art

And THAT's the gamble.

I haven't been using TikTok for long, but man, it has not been a fun experience. Short-form content creation has definitely taken years off my life due to how much you have to grind just to post daily videos, with some creators posting upwards of FOUR a day just to turn a profit.
