Do you know/think if the Mets would have done 240 with the optout?

They don’t have to like it I guess. That Brewers fans are actually mad at Craig Counsell for leaving is so foreign to how I think and confusing but sure they can whatever they want. I’m a Mets fan I’m not mad at Zack Wheeler for going to the Phillies. Maybe that’s a bad analogy I don’t know
Yeah you’re right it could be a reason. That would just never occur to me so I didn’t think of it
I think Counsell decided the Cubs would pay him a high salary. A big part of the story was Counsell wanting to reset the manager salary scale. It’s not personal
Unfortunately Stearns said in an interview this week he is returning next season
As he often is lol
Maybe wait until the game is over lol
A five run lead and this guy has his closer up in the eighth inning for the bottom of the lineup
Steelers took a long look in the mirror and decided “We need to get older”
“The coaching staff has grown frustrated with the state of player development, specifically how much emphasis is placed on swing mechanics and hitting data”
The coaching staff wishes their hitting dev sucked? If they want to fire Jason Ochart that would be a great hire for the Mets
ish is generous
Sorry lol
That’s DRS
70 year old man furious Juan Soto won’t give him a quote about how much he misses Aaron Judge
Look at how Sandy is doing, did you watch his start against the white sox?
I don’t think gambling on baseball is a matter of “civility”but vote all the bastards in let god sort it out is fair enough
I guess I don’t understand why “the argument needs to be made” and is best presented without making clear the opposing view but fair enough.
So you didn’t?
Did you talk to anyone for your story that doesn’t think a cap is a good idea? The only quote from Tony Clark is from an Evan Drellich article.
I’m willing to believe they’ve figured something out at least at the major league level but then wonder why some of their guys in the minors (Hancock, Dollard, McGraw, etc.) have all the normal issues
In addition to that the relevant years of Koufax’s career, 1961-1966 took place when the strikezone was expanded; not taking anything from him ofc
I thought the consensus was he would be moved at the deadline after he (hopefully) reestablishes value
MJ Melendez! Real rates&barrels-core player
It’s so funny that the Becker’s spreadsheet has a separate color for “Bowden is the only one who has connected x team and y player”
The article says it’s 2024 pool money, isn’t Sasaki going to post into the 2025 period
Iglesias exactly who I’d expect to see on top, very cool
You've spent 15 years patting yourselves on the back for how goddamn smart you are for not signing players and now you're upset that a team is actually doing that
