RIP Moya Brennan. U2’s Live at Red Rocks concert film kicked off with this song, and as dazzled as my teenage brain was by U2’s performance, this song got its hooks in someplace deep and stayed put for a long time. In the long run, its influence on my taste was bigger than U2’s turned out to be.

I went to a midnight show of Goldfinger, a guy sitting by himself two rows ahead started snoring immediately after the credits. The Music Box theater handed out newsprint schedules so I crumpled mine up and threw it at his head, which startled him awake. Actually thanked me after the show ended 🤷‍♂️
