In 2025, amid policy and resource changes, community networks played an even more critical role, sustaining prevention and maintaining essential services.
Here are some key achievements from our HIV response last year. 💪
In 2025, despite challenges, we implemented 10 projects across 9 locations and reached 50,000+ people.
More than numbers, it’s a shared journey to ensure no one is left behind.
Thanks to everyone walking with us on this journey!💪🌱💗

and support from @afd-france.bsky.social, we'll bring our expertise in community engagement to this project, empowering local leaders to adopt One Health practices for a safer, more sustainable future for everyone. 🏥🙌
To stay effective, we are integrating the #OneHealth approach into our research and field activities.
Through the #ASEACA project, we’re working with partners to see how socio-economic and agricultural practices drive #ZoonoticDiseases. 🐾🌱

Public health challenges doesn't exist in isolation.
At SCDI, we’ve seen how community wellbeing is tied to the ecosystems around us.
When environmental health is compromised, those already vulnerable face the most severe consequences.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung - SCDI's Deputy Director - shared about our experiences in integrating One Health into HIV, TB, and Malaria responses.
During the session, we shared about our experiences in integrating #OneHealth into HIV, TB, and malaria responses.
The exchange has opened new opportunities for collaboration and more sustainable, locally grounded approaches. 🤝✨
Participants at the event "Mapping Community-Led One Health Interventions for Prevention" in Bangkok (Thailand) on March 31st, 2026.
🤝Yesterday, SCDI and partners across Asia-Pacific gathered at the “Mapping Community-Led One Health Interventions for Prevention” event, organized by @apcaso.bsky.social and @cirad.bsky.social in Bangkok, to exchange insights and strengthen collaboration around community-led disease prevention.
While we’ve made great progress, to truly make #EndingTB a reality, we still need strategic collaboration to sustain investments for better and more affordable treatment & diagnostics.
Thank you to @medicinespatentpool.org for amplifying this vital message. Together, we can make an impact. 🤝🚀
These moments showed how community-led spaces can break barriers and make TB interventions more accessible to those who need it most.
#EndTB is not just about medicine, it is also about connection, support, and people shaping solutions that work for them. 💗
Ahead of #WorldTBDay2026, CSET members in Nghe An (Vietnam) brought communities together through skits, games, and storytelling, turning TB communication into something relatable, engaging, and grounded in real experiences.
In Vietnam, research is expected to take place in Thai Nguyen & Dong Thap.
SCDI is committed to supporting data sharing, research, and tailored interventions toward a safer, more sustainable health ecosystem 🌍
Part of #PREACTS programs under the #PREZODE initiative, funded by @afd-france.bsky.social and coordinated by @cirad.bsky.social, ASEACA will focus on preventing zoonotic diseases by studying ecological, socio-economic, and agricultural risk factors.
🚀 #ASEACA project kick-off in Hanoi!
SCDI is one of the implementing partners of the project in Vietnam, contributing to efforts that strengthen global health through the #OneHealth approach.
Discussions once again solidified our belief that meaningful community participation helps research stay grounded in real needs and realities.
Big thanks to ANRS-MIE, HPMU, and community members for their continued collaboration in research and advancing healthcare.
Recently, SCDI welcomed experts from @anrs-mie.bsky.social to Hai Phong, bringing together HPMU and local community-based organizations.
The exchange focused on the DRIVE and DRIVE-TB studies and the role of community groups in reaching and supporting vulnerable populations.
Insights from the discussion highlighted the importance of a community-based #OneHealth approach and participatory research for dengue prevention.
These inputs will be valuable to help us develop more comprehensive interventions and research in the next phase of our project. 💪
Recently, we welcomed a group of dengue specialists to our office for a consultation on community-based dengue prevention.
The meeting was an opportunity to introduce the DENGAGE project in Dak Lak and highlight the role communities play in both research and prevention efforts.
The DENGAGE project combines serological surveys with assessments of community knowledge, attitudes, and practices on dengue prevention across ten communes in Dak Lak, alongside discussions with local health workers and community members to better understand factors shaping dengue risk. 💪
On 10–11 March, SCDI participated in the Scientific Days of the ANRS MIE Partner Site in Vietnam at Hanoi Medical University, where we shared insights from the DENGAGE project currently being implemented in Dak Lak province.
Through DREAMH, supported by @linitiative.bsky.social, we aim to strengthen referral pathways between community networks and psychiatric services, enabling more coordinated mental health care for vulnerable communities. 🌿
The training introduced the project and the mental health quick screening tool (QST). It also created space for psychiatrists to exchange insights on early identification of mental health needs, motivational interviewing, and treatment considerations.
Recently, along with the Pierre Nicole Center and Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, we organized a 3-day training for psychiatrists from 6 provinces in Vietnam.
On this occasion, we would like to extend our sincere thank to all of our French partners for their trust and collaboration over the years.
We look forward to continuing this partnership and strengthening efforts that support healthier, more inclusive communities in Vietnam.
This recognition reflects many years of work to advance public health and social inclusion with communities in Vietnam, as well as the shared efforts of colleagues, partners, and community members who have shaped these initiatives.
🎉On March 10, Dr. Khuat Thi Hai Oanh, Executive Director of SCDI, was awarded the National Order of Merit (Ordre national du Mérite), rank of Knight, by the French Republic at a ceremony hosted by the Embassy of France in Hanoi.
🌟Highlights of February 🌟
After Tet, our teams are back and ready for the months ahead with renewed energy.
From meaningful activities with children in the Breaking the Cycle program to new collaborations for #MaternalAndChildHealth, February brought many exciting moments.
Community members also shared the real barriers people face, from access to services to concerns about treatment side effects and health insurance.
These insights help shape TB responses that stay grounded in community realities and needs, and advance the journey to #EndTB. 💪
