My concise definition of palliative care: there’s so much more to life than dying / not dying.

Inspiring words for those of us in countries where a marathon to survive attacks on lgtbq+ rights has not seen a major turning point…
Amazing news! “The court’s ruling restores the status quo in the plaintiff states, allowing providers to continue offering care without the threat of losing federal funding.”
"She tutored the activists on immunology and virology and schooled them in the intricacies of the Food and Drug Administration’s approval process and pharmaceutical research protocols."

They’re also freely using the term “biological female” so that tells me all I need to know.
Unfortunately this is textbook progression of fascism, obsessed with purity. It goes so far in its black & white views of gender, that some cisgender women don’t make the cut anymore. IOC laying groundwork for rules, with a danger of evolving to laws.
So grateful for this news. It means there is hope once the political tides turn again.
All 49 transgender patients included in a new study in France reported 100% post-op satisfaction with chest appearance. The patient sample was evenly divided between being under 18 and over 18 years old at time of surgery.

Trans love is magic ✨✨ In a world where ugliness prevails in every corner of the internet, it’s truly touching to watch clips like these.
Fun, right? It looks like craphoundzine.com sends one to a small business e-store, I’d start there ☺️
Cover of small hardcover book that says, Ant and Bee Time told by Angela Banner. It has a drawing of an ant, a bee and several old-style pocketwatches
Photo of interior of book, with Ant and Bee sitting at a breakfast table in their signature hats, helping each other eat breakfast.
OTTA (on today’s trans agenda):
Pondering whether it was 1950’s iconic gay icons Ant and Bee who gave me the queer contagion.

I wonder if people should be using more hashtags…it is really hard to find relevant content on here if people fail to use keywords.
It’s not quite Smithsonian-grade illustrations, but maybe you’d be interested in Crap Hound magazines for royalty free images to trace?
I think it’s also useful to see this in context.

I hope you take the time to read all these replies. And yes, people who are having their right to exist in public and their access to medical care being taken away should be expected to be angry. Anger is an appropriate emotional response here.
“[detransitioners] are the exception, I am the rule” 🫰🫰🫰
«Every path that should lead to safety, to justice, to the simple baseline dignity of existing in public, has been engineered to dead-end.»
«The Loop that traps trans people in America was not an accident. It was engineered, and the engineers have names.»
...time to tap the sign again: "Gender-Affirming Care for Trans Youth Is Neither New nor Experimental: A Timeline and Compilation of Studies" (no-paywall essay with over 100 research studies & reviews):

1. A new NHS England Review excluded 97% of all trans care studies to conclude that trans youth care doesn't work.
It explicitly violates several guidelines around reviewing literature, and appears to be politics masquerading as (shoddy) science.

Trying to hold on to glimmers of hope here and there.
My library is also pretty good about ordering recommendations from members :) another vote for Libby (or my local library uses BookBites)
Agreed. I learned this from a South American in the early 2000’s, but that’s partly due to age. The concept has surely been around as long as people have been trying to undo the idea of the US as the center of the entire continent.
Brightly coloured and textured background with crumpled plastics and paper. Pinks and blues with a pink triangle and a blue spray paint effect giving the image energy. Atop all of this is “save the dates” scribble underlined and “Trans+ History Week 04-10 May 2026” Handwritten beneath on a ripped bit of paper is “our history, our power” And at the bottom it reads “a QueerAF launchpad project”

There’s an onslaught of materially harmful developments in regard to trans rights in the US these days, so it’s hopeful to see democratic voters showing up for the progressive candidates that support trans people.
This is eugenics. Genocide. An attack on science, medical ethics, bodily autonomy, and human rights.
Where is the outcry from the biomedical community? Trans people aren't just abstract patients and research participants: We're your friends, family, and co-workers.
Speak up before it's too late
The trans community worked hard to help get you elected. Now the state is failing them, and there are multiple ways you could step up to help. So will you? Or have you abandoned them already?

Excellent news from Austria for non-binary people / all who wish to have their gender marker removed. I hope that the registry follows the court decision and guidance 🏳️⚧️
