Some reports say over 500 schools, 55 libraries, & 25 universities hit.
You can debate the numbers, but hitting Sharif University & Beheshti is like hitting MIT & Stanford. I keep wondering: How would the scientific community respond differently if it was those universities? What’s the difference?

The hyperexcitability of laterodorsal tegmentum cholinergic neurons accompanies adverse behavioral and cognitive outcomes of prenatal stress - Scientific Reports Scientific Reports - The hyperexcitability of laterodorsal tegmentum cholinergic neurons accompanies adverse behavioral and cognitive outcomes of prenatal stress

Another cool paper from Iran: nature.com/articles/s41... Prenatal stress makes mouse offspring more anxious, hyperactive, forgetful, and more drawn to morphine while laterodorsal tegmentum cholinergic neurons become hyperexcitable. From Kerman, a city with reported violent crackdowns on protests.

In my opinion asking “how” does not make the question of “where” less relevant. We will understand if we are able to take into account and therefore answer both questions. Dichotomies can sometimes be useful but they are not necessarily neither right not interesting.

What about neuropsychological syndromes? Digital agnosia, apraxia, prosopagnosia, alexia, semantic dementia, … how cannot these selettive diseases prove modularity?

Strategic omission:
knowingly leaving out relevant prior work to make findings seem more novel is academic dishonesty.
Adding citations later doesn’t undo the damage.
Citations are credit and respect, not decoration.
Call out this practice to protect integrity. #AcademicIntegrity

1. For the past thirty years I've had the best job in the world.

I've had the opportunity to follow my curiosity; explore the workings of nature and society; mentor students and junior colleagues in the same process; and teach generations of students about it all.

The President of the US and richest man on earth, unilaterally STOPPED children’s cancer research and clinical trials because they view them as “wasteful”.

If this doesn’t get your feet in the streets, I don’t know what will.
