Some blue sky (and wildflowers!) for Bluesky

If I wait a while to start a new book that just means I really liked the book before.
Okay, yeah, I ended up really enjoying this one. Not my usual style but thought it was pretty great!
You know, if The Pitt wanted to make a good, old-fashioned 24 episode season that goes from day shift to night shift they’d absolutely have an audience.
Nothing like a little System of a Down while I work
Excellent! I have been hearing good things about both the book and film, which isn’t always the case. Looking forward to seeing for myself!
The cover of Project Hail Mary, with two cats on the lap behind the book
Figured I’d read the book before I watch the movie 💁🏼♀️
This 💯
Running complaint of the day:
Wind
A cat laying on a lap behind a book
Cat tax
Oh look, my 2026 watch tan line has begun.
Is it technically spring? Yes
Does it feel like spring? Not at the moment
Am I going to get my winter jacket back out even if I probably should? Absolutely not
For some reason I didn’t see this in person but I’m glad to know this was happening now
Rear Window (1954) Directed by Alfred Hitchcock starring Grace Kelly, James Stewart and Thelma Ritter.
lol! Went back to take a pic of the opening line because I liked how it started
Added this one to my list after enjoying Crime and Punishment so much!
That’s also on my list. Looking forward to it!
The text at the beginning of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
I had no expectations for Dicken’s Great Expectations, but after less than 100 pages in I gotta admit that I’m hooked. I would’ve never picked this up if it wasn’t on my list of “classics everyone should read”.
And that’s exactly why I’m doing this.
Me too
Congrats! You should absolutely feel good about that, that’s amazing! 🎉
I just learned that Anthony Bourdain was 44 when he wrote the book that really launched everything we will remember him for.
Gonna remind myself of this whenever I feel like I'm getting too old to pursue anything new.
Good advice. I’ve done 5 half marathons so I think that’s part of why I’m thinking about a full now 😅
Thank you! I thought it was a good book. It’s about a Native American man finding his place in his family/community.
I always swore I’d never sign up for a marathon because the training takes so much time, but there is a liiittle part of me that wants to do one. Just once.
The cover of Calling for a Blanket Dance by Oscar Hokeah
Caught my partners cold and needed to take the day off today, but I can’t help but think it’s been about as good as a sick day can get - I watched some Anthony Bourdain and will probably finish this book.
The only thing that would’ve made this better is if I could fully breathe through my nose. 🤣
Yikes! Thats not good at all.
Overheard someone telling their friend they asked ChatGPT for legal advice last night and they were being completely serious.
We are so doomed.
Only two more days until my car clock is the right time again!
Just got back from my run and saw the first cherry blossoms of the year!
Unfortunately, that means the Bradford pear trees are going to start blooming, too.
But at least the cherry blossoms will be nice. 🌸

Oh no, starting another book that has a family tree at the beginning just like last one I read. More names to keep straight. 😅
