A dissatisfaction with what one already has. This comes about because of an overinflated code of oneself - pride. Believing a lie about oneself as above others, as deserving more. So, violence to others starts with violence to oneself, to one's core view of God, of self, of reality.

To violate anything or anyone in God's good creation is almost always caused by some form of greed - a desire for more.
How are violence, lies, greed, pride connected?
Violence breaks the foundational harmony in reality, forming discord. It neglects the truth that reality is one.

Screenshot from a hilariously off-target google AI overview about the difference between sauces and dressings. “The main difference between a sauce and a dressing is their purpose: sauces add flavor and texture to dishes, while dressings are used to protect wounds. Sauces: add flavor, texture and visual appeal to dishes. Sauces can also add contrasting or complementary flavors and colors to a plate. For example, tomato sauce is a common base for Mexican salsas and Italian pasta dishes. Dressings: used to protect wounds and prevent infection, while also allowing healing. A dressing should be large enough to completely cover the wound, with a safety margin of about 2.5cm on all sides. A standard serving size for salad dressing is two tablespoons.”
My personal favourite is still the one about the difference between a sauce and a dressing:
Alt-Txt: Two people stand before multi-color strips of paper with text on them that stretch down an entire wall and onto the floor. The title of the installation "I Agree" appear in all caps on the wall, too.
Love this. In his “I Agree” installation Dima Yarovinsky-Yahel took the content from terms of service statements for companies like Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Tinder and printed them out on A4 paper with a standard font size for legal contracts to demonstrate the length of these agreements.
I have never really used LinkedIn. That probably says a lot about me.

Thinking out loud: If male and female are understood along a spectrum, could a man seeking to be *hyper-masculine* in their gendered presentation in an exaggerated way that falls outside generally-accepted gender norms be considered gender-non-conforming? Or vice-versa with woman/feminine?
Yes I've also seen some of that. Many stories there

Hope our small scale community work can be an encouragement in a world full of complexity and challenges and greed and violence.
Thanks! Fewer folks in our community talk about neuro-divergence...maybe hierarchy of needs thing. So trying to catch up to better understand all this!
It's been a while since I have done a lot of deeper reflection and reading surrounding gender, trans experience, etc.
Any suggestions for texts and sources?
