Congratulations! I read it last year and absolutely loved it. Right now I'm reading The Future of Another Timeline, and living that too. Through the tears, at times, but loving it nonetheless 😅

So you consider trans people's lives to be acceptable losses. Who else is an acceptable loss? I'm guessing.... anyone but you.
Democrats keep losing because they keep shifting right and capitulating to the conservatives. We won't win until that gets adjusted.
A rainbow without all the colors isn't a rainbow, and freedom excluding some isn't freedom.
I don't identify as trans, and I still will not vote for an anti trans "Democrat". Not happening.
I'm an American who has only a vague idea of what bubble and squeak is, but that looks amazing. I'm assuming Spanish chorizo, not Mexican chorizo?
Sick of everything being Orwellian or Kafkaesque. I demand more Scarrylous situations, where animals drive vehicles and run small businesses.
That's some good spacetime fuckery going on there, excellent comic!
I mean, I'd argue against Cavill, but Cain still takes the absolute bottom ranking on this
NOT YOU, Mr. Cain, NRA board member and 3-time Tr*mp endorser. NOT YOU, sir.
I've heard of both, but I've read neither... Thank you, I'll put them on my holds list!
Let's bring this back!
Standing offer, always valid: Name five books you love, and I will recommend a book I think you'll like. It will likely be queer. It will definitely be sff.
This sounds fun...
- Shikasta by Doris Lessing
- Always Coming Home by Ursula K Le Guin
- The Galaxy and the Ground Within by Becky Chambers
- Translation State by Ann Leckie
- The Mars House by Natasha Pulley
For your consideration: Bread pudding is just french toast meatloaf
Yeesh, if it's ever safe for me to leave the US again maybe I should pack some of them as currency 😳
Same. Entire collection. Best puzzles ever.
I can’t help but notice that every single time an LGBTQ+ person is killed in a high-profile hate crime, masses of people immediately rush in to explain why it could not possibly have been a hate crime, actually.
Hells Librarians🔥 #LibrarySky #ReadToLive
Vegetable misting in the grocery isle
I bet this feels really good if you're a fruit
If watching library workers resist leads you to expect us to save you, you're taking away the wrong message.
You should be viewing this as a clear indicator that YOU can and should stand up and push back, too.
We need help, not acclaim.
Had to nope out of that video before the halfway mark
📚 Reference Desk question of the day... week... century:
"Did you know there's a customer complaint number for Saltines? What do people say when they call it?"
The answers I found on customer complaints for Saltines are something else, let me tell you:
I won’t share RFK Jr.’s lies about autism.
It’s disgusting and dangerous.
If he had a shred of decency, he would apologize and resign.
Autistic people contribute every day to our nation’s greatness.
To every kid with autism, I’m in this fight all the way for you.
First one is "an American", leaving us with "He's not even an American. He's from South Africa, and he's cosplaying as this great American leader"
Which I've got to say, is a very palpable hit. If this is real.
I was just wondering that myself the other day
@sanders.senate.gov or @warren.senate.gov would be great replacements for Chuck Schumer. They actually care what real people are going through and aren't just trying to pacify the toddlers in the Executive Branch. Draft Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren today!
Not sure what to say about this billboard
I mean, I say they can do anything PDF can, but they don't have the IP protection related features, so there's that, too
HTML and CSS are at the point where they can do anything a PDF can, while keeping the content accessible, searchable, and extractable. Unfortunately there isn't an ecosystem of tools designed for this particular use case, and PDF has a LOT of inertia.
