A matched set with the apostasy.

The icing on this cake is that I have Hoffmann on both my fantasy teams. More accurately, had him on both teams.
So of course, the day after I trade Paul Sewald, Daniel Palencia hurts his oblique.
Cleveland and Toronto’s last no-hitters were against each other. Both were in Cleveland.
Our no quit beats their no quit.
Louis Varland, closer, starting tomorrow, please and thank you.
Or in that one, apparently.
Still no quit in this team.
The Blue Jays are off to a very rocky start, but so is the rest of the AL. Springer, Barger, Yesavage and Berrios should all be back within a month, and Kirk within two. Stay the course.
Turns out the frogurt carried a terrible curse.
Full Marx for this one.
A number of Blue Jays Twitter people I followed for years appear not to have transitioned to BlueSky or any other platform. This has disappointed me, especially since the standard reason for staying (larger audience) just isn’t true anymore. I hope they reconsider. bsky.app/profile/donm...
This is going to be a difficult season.
That turned out to be the right call.
My PTSD and I will sit this one out, thanks.
Stating the obvious, but the Blue Jays' chances of returning to the postseason just got a whole lot smaller.
I wonder if Toronto’s numbers will decline in Kirk’s protracted absence. I had the sense his pitch framing was doing a lot of work in the defensive metrics.
What exactly has gotten into this team? And how can we get it out again?
Dread is not an expression you want to see on a reliever’s face, but he seemed to be wearing it a lot.
Nothing irrational about my annoyance with two players in particular. Solid, documented, evidence-based annoyance.
No more. Please. I don’t want to see that man pitch another inning in a Blue Jays uniform.
11/0 K/BB in 4 2/3 IP works for me.
The one thing you can say about Patrick Corbin is that he’ll give you innings. Last 5 seasons: 157 starts, 834 IP. And incredibly, 74 losses. And 145 HRs! Led the league three times in losses, hits allowed, and runs allowed.
He’ll give you innings, you’ll just wish he hadn’t.
The omens are gathering like crows.
Well, that was a dispiriting series.
John Schneider is a patient man who knows how to manage people.
How close is Stanifer to being a rotation option this season?
So I did. The fact he’s not thrown off a mound yet is probably contributing to that. Similarly with JB and TY, I’ll feel I can count on him once he’s started a couple of games in the majors, but until then, I have to consider him a question mark.
Gausman and Cease, two workhorses. Lauer and Scherzer, maybe 130 good innings each. Yesavage and Berríos, nobody knows what they’ll look like when they return or for how long. No replacements in the minors, four full months to the trade deadline. This is not going to be good.
It's hard to escape the conclusion that the entire ABS system has been developed at enormous expense because Major League Baseball can't fire C.B. Bucknor.
