There’s definitely a whole slew of different factors to go into the formation of an entire different branch of Catholicism that I’m not privy to, but the culture clash was most definitely one of those factors

I grew up Polish American Catholic which as a kid was explained “we re Catholic but we don’t listen to the pope” when I was teen I learned the whole branch of faith exists cause Polish Americans didn’t like how Irish the the Catholic Church was in America. And I’m just….this is normal to me sadly
