Yeah the dash loss hit me hard (I love distance builds and avoiding enemies/kiting). But when you get used to it, it is so fine tuned, like it really enhances the battles throughout, makes you really choose your moments to play aggressively and jump in for strikes. 😊

It’s a side scrolling narrative adventure with beat em up combat and some platforming. Not the other way around Meaning: more adventure than action. Don’t expect 90% action and “Arkham-like combat” (phrase I keep hearing over and over when people talk about it). It’s more like 60/40 side scrolling exploration to combat & platforming Collectibles, lore documents, no voice acting - if you like reading to immerse yourself in a world, it’s a great time. If you want something punchier and more fast paced, a lot of it will miss for you To me, it’s all extremely fucking cool. Gameplay only has so many tricks up its sleeve, but if the vibes click for you, then the ride is well worth it if you’re in the mood for this kind of adventure

It evolves the HD2D style via camera/cinematography using perspective and foreground on top of pixel style/lighting In cinematic moments, objects will fly at the screen or the background vs foreground blurs, creating depth in an otherwise 2D scene I’m here to tell you. It never stops being fucking gorgeous
