Me this morning wearing an ACT-UP vest with the words Silence = Death on it. Above the words are a pink triangle. Usually the gay pink triangle was tip facing downwards but this logo, as with Madonna’s image, has the tip at the top.

Madonna’s an icon who knows her iconography. So when her album cover presents her as a pink triangle I’m sure it’s a nod to the symbol assigned to homosexuals in the WWII concentration camps. The triangle was reclaimed by gays in the 70s / 80s and used powerfully by the AIDS activist groups ACT-UP.

All this, coming from someone who never had Madonna records, who in its time I didn't really followed her work, but after years realized how important was she for American Culture LGBT+ and Feminism around the world. Even I a casual fan, understood that of her.
