Actually, my favorite Maclean book is the non-fiction "Young Men and Fire", published posthumously in 1992, about how and why 12 USFS smokejumpers died fighting a wildfire "blowup" in the 1949 Montana wilderness.
This man was just put on earth to write.

Sad to learn about this. The polluters need to be stopped, charged and held accountable. Our elected officials need to stand up to support the Lumber and its users. Our natural resources are more important than foreign wars, Washington ballrooms and arches, and more tax cuts for the wealthy.
