I finished writing a new opera yesterday. We're going to be putting it together over the next couple of months and doing a workshop performance. At 2000 bars long, with my own words and music, it's probably the most ambitious thing I've ever made. I will try and share updates from the process here!

Some more music: youtu.be/JKqQiTEoeM4. This one's part of a set of three where the titles are all anagrams of each other. The title Being refers to the fact that it's basically just the same theme the whole way through in different forms.

'Tis the season for calls for scores, so 'tis the season for some #RealTalk about the impact your well-intended call is having on composers.

Ensembles: thank you for being interested in new music, and in discovering composers you aren't familiar with yet.

I was really pleased with my newest opera STUMPED, which had a run at the Fringe this year and had a great response! I can only share the video privately, but here's the score: www.lewiscoenen-rowe.com/_files/ugd/6...

I'm new here! Interested mainly in following people involved in climate change or contemporary classical music (especially opera). Would love some recommendations of who to follow here.

I'm worried about the person with Earth Song at the very top of their playlist. There's no need for that kind of behaviour.
