I feel the need to call out people who are looking for "professional" voiceovers (usually for 10 minutes of finished audio) for such insulting rates. You see this and "1000 voiceovers for $15000" ALL THE TIME so they can trick people into clicking onto a job priced at 5 figures.

They couldn't have scraped together some money to pay her and get permission to use her voice? I personally think there's room for AI in voiceover, but this isn't how to do it.

I'm sure I'm not the only voiceover artist who has a shy personality, but I notice it sometimes gets in the way of me being part of the wider VA community. Does anyone know where I could start?

I can definitely agree with the fight fair wages. One of my least favourite parts about freelancing is being underpaid and being really bad at negotiating.
I can appreciate your opinion, but, what about projects that are undercutting rates? I don't think someone wants to read 6 hrs of a book for a few hundred bucks. The technology isn't going anywhere unfortunately, might as well work alongside it.
Do you think #voiceover news like this is as bad as some people in the community make it out to be? I mean, I'm sure there's books no one wants to have to read out loud for any sum of money. #AIquestions #VO
One of my first voiceover jobs is still one of my favourites. Did you know I was the english voice of #detectivevoid?
