What a rollercoaster it's been doing lessons with @oaknational.bsky.social for secondary RE. Here are my final 9 - two core KS4 RE units which could be used in other ways too- all free, downloadable and editable and if you like- with my face + voice. Coming soon to the Oak site. #teamre

This IPSO adjudication against the Telegraph is quite something
Confirms their story titled: ‘We earn £345k, but soaring private school fees mean we can’t go on five holidays’ was completely fabricated, with the family involved non-existent and stock pictures used

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

They love it. Lots more play at lunch (secondary) as they’re in activewear. Parents appreciate it - less ironing. Attendance is better. They like having the choice.
We moved to PE kits in September and it makes all the difference. Students can choose to wear PE kit each day or full uniform (on days where they don’t have PE) as some of our students enjoy wearing a blazer and tie.
Looking forward to an inspiring day at Strictly RE today. Haven’t been to many conferences in the last year and have missed them. Very fortunate to have a SACRE who funds tickets for local teachers who want to attend.
If you read my “classroom snapshot” posts & think I want to teach those lessons - now you can!

You’ve taken me back in time with this one! The ‘religion and the media’ units of the GCSEs and entry level quals. Vicar of Dibley, Bruce Almighty, Songs of Praise, reading a Farmington project on how to embed Simpsons episodes into almost every lesson 😬
I love it when I see your threads on lesson topics/questions. It always make me want to come and teach at your Trust. Inspiring!

Bet this will be a corker!
There’s a lot of anxiety and misery around right now. So I think everyone should read this lovely story about the kindness of strangers. I guarantee it will give you a lift.
So much time for Gwen.

My school is looking to appoint a humanities teacher.
The role would involve teaching both RE and Geography. This is a really exciting opportunity to join a school that highly values the humanities.

I do! You inspired me at Edge Hill and I’ve been looking for good ones ever since.
Thanks Nikki. It’s a jumpsuit and the first one I’ve ever owned and worn ❤️ Haven’t felt confident enough to until recently.
It’s a jumpsuit from SHEIN (apologies to anyone offended by fast fashion 🫣). I felt very glam in it.
I bloody love Saturday nights at Farmington. Paying for it this morning though!
Hope you managed to settle into Oxford life for the short time we’re here.
It has been a great weekend. Looking forward to today’s presentations before heading back up north too.
