P.S.: The Yale Report also made it clear that guest speakers should not be disinvited or cancelled and so I’m just gonna leave this here. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/22/u...

Israeli soldiers have looted civilian property in southern Lebanon on a large scale, according to testimonies from IDF personnel, Haaretz reports.
damn that’s cute!
I can't stress enough how central "hating-the-SPLC" has been to far right politics in Oregon (the state I'm most familiar with). For example, here's a story from a far right independent newspaper called the Oregon Observer in 1998. For context, Texe Marrs was an Alex Jones-esque conspiracy theorist.
Nothing to worry about, just the Heritage Foundation publishing an article on how the Republican Congress can refuse to seat Democrats www.heritage.org/election-int...
in a properly functioning democracy, a man thinking about stealing elections should fear publishing an argument for doing so under his given name
Reporter: What do you make of Republicans saying that Virginia—
AOC: Wah wah wah.
We have asked Republicans for 10 years to ban partisan gerrymandering. And for 10 years, Republicans have said no.
What they’re just mad at is that they have been accustomed to a Democratic Party that rolls over.
A map of the US. Counties with large minoritized populations are shown Black populations are largely in the South, Latino in the West, AI/AN in Alaska and the upper Midwest, and Asian in Hawaii.

Is that a COSTCO cardboard cat house? I am a connoisseur of such structures. I just need to know.
NEW: Two local men promised to build housing with a 3D printer.
That didn’t pan out. When reporter Molly Parker started to investigate what went wrong, she found the printer disassembled on a flatbed truck at a country repair shop.
Then things got weird.

I’ll support any Dem that moves to kick Palantir off the public dole and out of doing business with the US.
He's a liar and a killer. I don't know what else to tell people, he's a rich eugenicist, he wants as many poor people as possible to die in the name of 'health.' He's a genuinely and uniquely malign figure in American life and his appointment was an act of violence
They made him look 10 years younger. (Man, the last decade has not been kind to his face.)
“To say that President Trump is corrupt is to somehow understate the size, scope and magnitude of his corruption.
It is as if you were to describe a modern thermonuclear device as a ‘bomb.’ That is true enough, but it is not quite the truth. It does not capture the nature of the thing in full.”
….OR risk a public backlash? My dude, the public backlash comes either way. 20-30% unemployment means a lot of people are gonna have some time on their hands for some serious mayhem.
This is the take right here.
passing a referendum that contradicts some major past messaging in an off cycle election without any other races on the ballot is about the most difficult circumstance for getting redistricting through.
but people hate trump just that much.
GOP - *gerrymanders*
DEMS - hey stop that no fair
GOP - *gerrymanders even more*
DEMS - we mean it we’re gonna sue
SCOTUS - *legalizes gerrymandering completely*
DEMS - *start gerrymandering*
GOP - HEY STOP THAT NO FAIR!!!! 😭
The GOP entered this redistricting under the rather childish delusion they were going to gerrymander, and nobody would gerrymander them. In TX, MO, and a half dozen other states, they put their rather naive theory into operation. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind
I tried to explain this crap to my teen, who is like “YOU SAID GERRYMANDERING IS BAD” before I went to go vote today.

Trump is arguably the most evil president the United States has ever had and that's really saying something because the competition is steep.
“About 300 migrants had been expelled to African countries at a cost of at least $40 million – and likely much more “

TACO Trump now signaled he will never restart the war. Iran can do as it pleases. Watch him take down the sanctions in exchange for reopening the Strait.
