Okay, I think with this book 1.5, I'm abandoning hope that it will be smol. Imma shave it down as much as I can, as I usually do, but I'll probably just put an author's note in the front saying:
"Look. This would have been a short book. But Felkyn demanded more chapters than he had in book 1..."
My company's MS Teams does this aggravating thing where I have to tell it 3-4 times that YES, I DO, in fact, want to close it so I can power down and GO HOME!

So I have an aunt...she was thrown from a car because she wasn't wearing a seatbelt. This was in 1998.
She had a heart attack yesterday. Her organs are failing. They're pulling the plug tomorrow, Christmas day.
I have some weird thoughts and feelings tonight...
Thank God I didn't say aloud that i'd have this book finished by Christmas, because I have hit a block...
I learned years ago not to force it when I hit a block, but damn it, I'm so close!!!
