I agree they let 9/11 happen as it let them pursue their foreign policy goals but I don't think they cared whether the building collapsed. If anything the high death toll helped them immensely and basically secured a second term.

I'd add to this that debt is by design to keep a compliant labor force, and reduce the chance of unionizing.

I'm also a Hampshire College grad who applied early decision. The person I am today would not be imaginable without my time spent there. Some of the only years I didn't hate existence were spent on that campus. I knew this news was inevitable but it still hurts, feels like a piece of me is dying.
