On a related note, there's now an expanded (unofficial) remake of the demake - Mighty Final Fight Forever is pretty rad.
The download link on the trailer there is busted, but you can grab it off Gamejolt now.

Oh yay! I don't mind the expensive shipping since it is international 🫡 I'll just have to save a bit more before I order
Are you able to ship to the US? 🙏

Hmm, not sure I can follow you there since I wasn't bothered by the real world values or language enough to notice. If anything I'm fine with it
In my mind I felt the romance didn't work and I ended up not caring about the world at large nor the characters in my group. I gave it an honest try, too.
What was The Antithinker's Bud Lime-A-Rita equivalent?

I can't explain it but I love the way you wrote out your critique here, it's very raw. I feel you.
For me BG3 just felt like a gaslighting campaign? People would tell me how much they loved characters like Astarion but I hated every party member... they were all too tropey.
Yeah man! I played it in beta right when it released and thought it was cool, but when the full game released I played it a bit more and... it's just whatever?
I don't think Larian is good at writing and BG3's writing bores me. Combat is fine but Divinity is much better with combat, easily.
This person absolutely rules and they're 100% correct about Baldur's Gate 3. Maybe not with that harsh of a rating, but the game's just... alright lol

My favorite game of all time is Metal Gear Solid 3.
I haven't purchased Delta.
Because... why? MGS3, like RE4, is a perfect game. Why remake perfection? What could be done artistically to improve something that is beloved.
Oh right. Money.
After months of procrastination, we finally have our first enemy, the classic Octorok! You may find they're a little more aggressive and involved than before, so stay on your toes and fight! (Parts are still WIP)

Me after the new Resident Evil 4 Crowbcat video
Felt like they just gave up after their video on RE4 being soulless, but that's a critique I put on every remake. Especially a game like RE4 that didn't need a remake.
But almost all my friends who said "The RE4 remake is pointless" bought it...
When people tell you Super Mario Kart is the original kart racer, just remember Power Drift came first*, and it was actually quite a bit more impressive due to its scaling sprite technology and fun courses!
*The Guinness Book of World Records is the source for this distinction, not my own opinion!

A magazine double-page spread depicting Yoshihisa Kishimoto in sunglasses and a popped-collar jacket, this specific image shows it was signed. This is NOT my image. You can see he was young here, looks like he was in his mid to late 20s, but the guy was always young looking. Love this man, RIP.
Yoshihisa was also cool as fuck. I talk about him in the same breath as I do Tomonobu Itagaki, Hideo Kojima, and Hideki Kamiya when gushing to friends about game developers I feel spoke to my tastes and helped form my own perception of what's cool.
You can't replace that, he was one of a kind.
Personally: I love Kunio-kun, a lot. My introduction to the larger world started at River City Girls when I realized all the references were actually licensed--it's a Kunio-kun game!
A LOT of NES classics are Kunio titles. River City, Dodgeball, Soccer... and that's ignoring Double Dragon!
This is a monumental loss for the games industry, an entire genre (beat em ups) owes itself to this man.
There is such a thing, issue is there are multiple industries. Video games still need a delivery platform and access to video games has always been a barrier: you need technology of some kind that's capable of running games.
What we're seeing right now is every ("the") game industry hurting at once
