Not since Elden Ring have I just gotten completely lost for almost 6 hours straight in a world and explored, found cool zones, unique puzzles, and some encampments that I know i have to prep for before I can win.
I’m getting that with Crimson Desert. I’m 15 hours in, and already just in awe.
And IGN still has its rating at a 6/10, after the same exact reviewer also played the live service slop Highguard and gave that a better score. Of course we all know how THAT game ended up.

Elden Ring was my first souls game and it taught me that I suck. I eventually mastered the game after hundreds of hours and dozens of runs. I beat DS1 and 3, and felt like a god when it came to souls. Elden Ring Nightreign is humbling me and proving I still suck. Solo or trio, it’s tough as shit
The hate especially for Bella Ramsey is overwhelmingly from gamers, and overwhelmingly from anti-woke gamers. And much of that faction probably didn’t even play the game, much less finish it. Thankfully for the casual audience, it seems that a pretty fair majority of them love the show.
Season 2 has blown me away with every episode especially so far. F the haters
I cherish The Last of Us Part II, it is an incredible game with a complex story to tell. Somehow beyond my expectations for the show, it is proving to be just as good, if not BETTER in its storytelling compared to the game. Some of the best writing, acting, set pieces of any show or movie I’ve seen.
Nintendo Direct for switch 2 lets goooooooooooooo
I was basically right. Nintendo direct today showed nothing of interest for a large number of people. It’s like if a sequel for a huge movie is coming out next Friday and the studio releases a trailer for a movie they did 2 decades ago for no reason. That’s what this Direct was.
Surely saving that for switch 2 direct right?
If it had 32 tracks, I would probably agree. Being only 16 tracks is a bit of a letdown, looking back. MKWii hits different, easily my favorite in the franchise.

This was one of my favorite games as a kid. While I do not find it to be as good as it was as a kid, I still hold serious nostalgia for the game. I will always have a special place for DK64 in my heart.
I’m an old school Pokémon fan, gens 3 and 4 are my favorites by far, and no others come remotely close. The open world formula with newer pokemon games doesn’t wow me. Legends Arceus I didn’t even finish. After this direct and seeing the new Legends Z-A game I have one thought. Eh. Just not for me.
Elden Ring is effectively my favorite game of all time. I had no idea what I was getting into with my first FromSoft game, but man, I’m so glad I stuck with it all the way through. The highs from this game were so high that I don’t think any other game will ever top them. 3 years already, wild.
I tried replaying it some in recent months and it’s just meh. It’s WAY too simple. Yes it’s for kids. But kids are playing harder games now. Give us a little bit of challenge, instead of a Pokémon catch em all with power moons in the most nonsensical locations. 120 really good levels works better.
I’m still able to play games I own digitally, I just can’t play *online* which is a very big difference. In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t really matter for me personally, cuz I’m not a Fortnite gamer, cuz im not a degen. But yea, I won’t be able to play Helldivers either until PSN is back.
The bow/crossbow in The Last of Us (1 and 2) are remarkably satisfying, especially Part 2. One of the only weapons that really helped me get through my Grounded NG+ run. Would’ve been damn near impossible without that as a stealth option.
That’s like saying we should also not pay to go to sporting events to watch people play a sport better than any of us could because we are incapable of playing said sport. Like shut your ass up
Wii was peak. Games I played over and over: Mario Kart Wii, Mario Galaxy 1 and to a lesser extent 2, Smash Bros Brawl. Star Wars the Force Unleashed. And of course using the Wii to revisit old GameCube games that I loved. Never will there be a better console than the Wii for me. Made my childhood.
Oh the joy I feel at seeing GTA 6 fanboys that are more insane than serial killers being wrong that today was guaranteed to be the day another trailer dropped for their precious game. No trailer. How does it feel to be brought back to reality? I drink GTA fan tears at all meals.

Agreed, and I think we both know that a pretty large majority of those people have never even TOUCHED the game. I’ve talked to some people who played the whole game and hated it. Fine, they at least played it. But to not even give the game a chance based on leaks, many of them false, blows my mind.
I’m so thankful I missed the leaks and drama in the months prior to release of The Last of Us Part 2. I didn’t play the games until 2022. Missing the leaks/ spoilers definitely enhanced my enjoyment of both games. Part II is a masterpiece (minus pacing issues), and the anti-woke trolls can suck it.

Fun fact. 720p to 1080p is nowhere NEAR as big a leap as it would be for 1080p to 4K. Once you go 4K it’s hard to go back.
