Shrimp & grits made with sharp white cheddar, heavy cream, sautéed onion, garlic, and poblano pepper in a white wine reduction. Fried up some bacon bits and added fresh parsley. Seasoned at each phase with smoked paprika, Mexican oregano, and Kinder’s Fajita blend, and smoked black peppercorn.

Found a great chocolate banana bread recipe online, and this second time making it I used Heath bar bits instead of chocolate chips. Even though this was good, I have to say, the latter was better. The cacao powder in this was on point, though.

I want to just show gratitude to my microbes, in this case to my water and milk kefir grains, for being so patient with me. I hadn’t gotten around to changing out the water/milk in a while, but they’re still healthy and ready to go. Here’s your foodsies guys, I’m sorry I neglected you! 🥴

As of tomorrow, Feb 20, it will have only been a month. I honestly don't know how my mental state will survive this. The one thing that iIm currently holding on to is that spring will be here soon and I can be outside with my plants and pollinators. Also about to adopt another rescue dog. 🥹

Looks great to me! I make a cross between a French dip and cheesesteak, whoch is basically just a French dip sammie (cooked on low all day in red wine and beef consommé) and topped with sautéed onions, poblanos, and mushrooms. Dipped in the jus from the crock pot. 😋

Note to self: Go on and buy that snow brush so as to COMPLETELY clean the top of the car before going anywhere so THIS shit doesn’t happen again while slowing down for a red light. Not how I imagined breaking in the new CR-V, but here we are..

Pressed out my hawthorn cordial today. Also, found my old cordial from 2018 (50% alcohol, so still good). Put that in my empty skull vodka bottle. They’re both fairly stout 😅. Recipe from The Herbal Academy blog.
