Another year draws to a close at NXL and you've all been wonderful helping us to keep this vital service going. We thank everyone who comes in the door, but special thanks must go to Nick, Colin and Ian for their fantastically generous donations of books and money to NXL!
Great friend of the library Nick has made a huge book donation to us, including many Folio Society editions of Shakespeare's plays, dating from the 50s and 60s, and a complete set of Folio Society Collected Plays. So if you're interested in either or both, come in and make us an offer!
NXL is pleased to announce we've had our stairlift installed! Thank you to the Laughology Fund for very kindly donating the money to NXL to fund this part of the project!

Our basement archive is now open Saturday afternoons from 13:30 to 16:30 (and some ad-hoc weekday times)
We've (thanks Penny!) had an enormous sort-out of our basement fiction archive so searching for a particular author or book is now possible! If there's something specific you're after, feel free to message or email us and we can have a look, or if you're passing, drop in and take a look yourself!
Do you have cupboard boxes knocking about at home and are not sure what to do with them? Don't forget your good friends at New Cross Learning! We always need them to send off orders, one of the many ways that we use to keep NXL open and serving the public. Boxes - we want em!

This Sunday - our fantastic Big Book Sale is on from 12 noon to 3pm! Books on all subjects and in all genres, we've got some DVDs, CDs and even vinyl records for your perusal! We should have home-made cakes and hot drinks available too!

We're having a tabletop sale! Drop by for the usual selection of books, vinyl and DVDs, along with bric-a-brac, jewellery, plates, scarves, bags and some frankly unidentifiable but eminently worth purchasing items!
A very kind person donated a few bags of books yesterday and we are super-grateful. However there was also a bag of personal documents and photos amongst the books, so if the donor happens to read this, perhaps they could come to collect them as we have no confidential shredding on site
