I’ll have to take a look at some point. Unfortunately ever since I began my masters I’ve had very little free time to pursue my vintage computing hobby projects, so virtually all of this has been on the back burner.

It appears the HP Labs page proudly showcasing their research done for Itanium has finally gone offline...

Linux does not like my zx2000, alternatively, my zx2000 does not like Linux. Perhaps the feeling is mutual.

Am I hallucinating this or did I see someone announce they were working on a Wayland port to IRIX on either Twitter or Mastodon the other day?

Pet peeve of mine has to be when pop science articles mention a newly published paper but don't mention the name or give a link. Instead it's just "the paper" and "this paper".

It's very difficult to verbalize but Minecraft mod posts you'd see on MinecraftForums back in the 2011-2014 era had a certain vibe to them that simply doesn't exist anymore.

Someone really needs to setup a Bitsavers equivalent for open source software, once you start looking for stuff from before GitHub existed, you're more likely than not going to end up hitting dead link after dead link, regardless of if you're lucky enough to find a .tar.gz/.zip

Anyway, thats it for me. In about 10 minutes I will start to shut everyrhing down. Just know I have done everything with a level head. I planned all this out months ago. This was just a perfect time to go about it. I have not liked computers for w hile now. Goodbye. You suck.
