You're absolutely right! After having sat at both sides of the table, it's MUCH MORE harrowing for the interviewee than the interviewer! I spent 10 years unpaid or underpaid while interviewing for faculty level jobs. I get it. Having virtual interviews during COVID shutdown improved things so much.
Things I talk to my #MLIS students about:
*my salary (as an adjunct & as a librarian)
*my student loans (how much I owe & the PSLF process)
*vocational awe (RIP Fobazi)
*Melvil's legacy & why it matters

When I had shingles in 8th grade, it was more annoying than painful. Like a hot itchy rash on my back. I also had flu and an ear infection with a burst ear drum, so the ear pain sucked more.

To the people who were flummoxed about a non-Mario character being in a Mario animated movie: Star Fox is not a cameo. He's integral to the movie's plot, what little there happens to be (Save the Princess!). I would watch the heck out of a Star Fox animated series or movie. Rock on, Illumination.

It’s not Family Fun Time if you don’t have at least one meltdown and at least one instance of taking apart a cheap assed sofa with hammers, knives, plyers, and brute force.
Only thing missing from PalWorld & the Flintstones logic of creatures serving as tools & machines for people is the wisecracks and sass from said creatures.
I hadn’t played PalWorld in a while (solo offline), & a lot has changed. There are NPCs & quest givers! Bounties on obnoxious & bad NPCs! More Pals that are Legally Distinct from Pokemon! It’s a cozy game that satirizes the industrial complex by applying Flintstones logic. It’s novel & weird!
