If you cant afford art, or cant draw or whatever yourself, USE PUBLIC DOMAIN IMAGES

NOT AI.

All you newbies drawing their first comic and haven't printed their comic before: 300 dpi, CMYK colours, bleed and safety, 0 0 0 100 K black text on a separate layer. Make sure you have all of these on all of your comics files, otherwise you'll end up like me having to fix 660 pages of my webcomic

Art Mentorship applications are now closed but I did want to share some advice: please follow instructions!! We got hundreds of apps and nearly half of them had something wrong with their images - incorrect names, huge sizes, multi-page PDFs, multiple different uploads, etc. Don't worry though, no applications were thrown out. I just had the fun job of resizing and renaming all of them lol But specifications are important in publishing! Following those parameters is hugely appreciated. My other piece of general advice would be: if you're interested in children's book illustration, make sure you're doing your market research and staying up-to-date. Go to bookstores, scroll online, whatever it may be...you just gotta be familiar with what's out there!

Hi! I'm doing some freelance comic editing and I'm looking for femme-identifying illustrators of Asian descent for a cover. Please recommend and drop portfolios here. (Don't DM me~) πŸ’–βœ¨

As someone from the disabled community myself, I wanted to get a list of disabled comics creators going. I know this is not close to everyone. Let me know if you want in and thanks in advance for you patience. These take a lot of coordination. πŸ™
