When I was in highschool I worked in a deli. I had to wash all the dishes before I could go home.
Then I worked in a fancy restaurant. I had to wash all the dishes before I could go home.
Now I teach cooking and make a real wage and get respect. I have to wash all the dishes before I can go home.
So I was gonna take a picture of the pizza after I bought it but I forgot so um...

Cory Booker, Ruben Gallego and Elissa Slotkin all say they won’t go on Hasan Piker’s show.
But they’ve all been on Bill Maher, who says Islam is like “the mafia”, the Muslim world has “too much in common” with ISIS, Muslims bring “desert stuff” to the west, and has also used the N word on his show
A screenshot with a block of text: Minister: The US is now a revisionist power. For 80 years, the US was the underwriter for a system of globalisation based on UN Charter principles, multilateralism, territorial integrity, sovereign equality. It actually heralded an unprecedented and unique period of global prosperity and peace. Of course there were exceptions. And of course, the Cold War was still in effect for at least half of the last 80 years. But generally, for those of us who were non-communists, who ran open economies, who provided first world infrastructure, together with a hardworking disciplined people, we had unprecedented opportunities. The story of Singapore, with a per capita GDP of 500 US dollars in 1965. Now, lit is| somewhere between 80,000 to 90,000 US dollars. It would not have happened if it had not been for this unprecedented period, basically Pax Americana and then turbocharged by the reform and opening of China for decades. It has been unprecedented. It has been great for many of us. In fact, I will say, for all of us, if you look back 80 years. But now, whether you like it or not, objectively, this period has ended. There is no point trying to assign blame or pejorative adjectives. That is not helpful. Basically, the underwriter of this world order has now become a revisionist power, and some people would even say a disruptor. But the larger point is that the erosion of norms, processes, and institutions that underpinned a remarkable period of peace and prosperity; that foundation has gone. What you are seeing now, whether you watch the war in Ukraine, in the Middle East or elsewhere, including in Asia, to me these are symptoms of the underlying tectonic rupture. Big powers and even lesser powers have a more narrow definition of national interest.
This is quite something from Singapore's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vivian Balakrishnan, in an interview with Reuters. The end of the post-war order, diagnosed in technocratic language. www.mfa.gov.sg/newsroom/pre...

I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves. Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone. That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins. If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after. Sahar Delijani, Iranian author
I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own government’s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds.
I support neither imperialism or dictatorship.

Three-panel comic of a board room meeting with a cat having been photoshopped in for the head of the board: Panel 1: A black and white cat has its front two paws on a board room table as it’s exclaiming, “meow meow mreoow meow meow meow,” to the other board members. Panel 2: A masc board member states, “More food for you, yes,” as a femme board member next to him declares, “Of course you can have more snacks!” A bored-looking masc at the end of the table, leaning his head against his left hand says, “I think you’re fed enough.” Panel 3: A split-scene of a close-up of the cat looking angry against a red background above a close-up of the bored masc person who said the cat was being fed enough, all off to the left of a distant view of an office building that has a broken window several floors up as the masc person who said the cat is fed enough has been tossed through it.
