It hurts me that we apparently both know the Job story a little too well π Feel better.
Hand feeding chickadees every morning does good things for me.
The soup was soothing, creamy squash with crispy chickpeas. The bath was π₯π (sorry no pics).
Hahaha, that was gonna be my comment.
I'm so turned on right now π
Be kind to yourselves dear hearts. I see you holding a lot of rage and pain in your hearts and that needs balancing with grace and love. β¨π
Find that wherever you can. Iβll be making soup and in a hot bath tonight. π

Do y'all think there's a parallel universe where Donald Trump went to prison and Martha Stewart became president?
Land Back!!!
I actually use a standing desk at my office and I like it, but on days I wfh it seems wrong to be standing. Unfortunately my body does not agree, haha!
I have v-day and my son's b-day to keep me going thru Feb. And honestly I appreciate a lot about the starkness of Jan. after the excesses of Dec.
Contemplating a standing desk purchase to complete my lean-in to January's cruelest of vibes.
Recommend!
Thanks Steve. I'm looking forward to what's ahead for me π
2024 was the most difficult year of my life, and I want to celebrate some wins for '25!

Instructional cartoon about how to flush sewer rats that end up in your toilet using dishsoap.

But good tip about the dishsoap I guess.
Thanks! I read Katherine May's other book: Enchantment and I loved it. I forgot about Wintering. Will check it out.
Coincidentally, I did enjoy Wintering by Kate Moses which is a fictional account of Sylvia Plath's last winter.
Damn girl! Serious ab work! πͺπΌ
Know any good Winter reads? Short stories by the fire vibes? I like Dulce Domum from Wind in the Willows. π²π―οΈβοΈ

Cloudy view of snow capped Wallowa Mountains with a woman seated in the foreground taking it all in.
Yellowing yarrow in the foreground above an alpine lake with snow capped Wallowa Mountains in background.
Smiling woman in a pink puffy with a blue knitted beanie posing amidst snow kissed conifers with Wallowa Lake in the distance.
Major accomplishment this year: learned how to say Wallowa!
