I thought it looked a bit like a tana lawn, which I then decided I should use for my next one.

I love it. What is the fabric content?
It's my favorite pattern of all times; I've made a long sleeved version out of corduroy and a sleeveless version out of some hemp curtains
That coat is glorious!
No, I'll check it out tonight; I've never heard of it. Thx
Hey, so way back in pre musk twitter days, I followed you because of your animal night-cams; I think you were in Florida. Didn't know anything else about you until I ran into The Steampunk Bible at a store in WA. Recently bought the southern reach trilogy and am loving it. So, welcome to pdx!!!
Cool; I'll check them out. Now, more than ever, I'm looking to support smaller, non American, companies
Very cool! Did you use spoonflower?
They periodically have really decent sales, ship quickly and have great customer service.
Have you tried Minerva, which is uk based? I've never gotten buttons from them but have purchased fabric three times and was pleased. www.minerva.com/mp/GBP?page=...
An idea for the future is to order buttons from here. Independent store in Berkeley ca that has a vast array of nice buttons. stonemountainfabric.com/notion-categ...
Good job then
In person or online?
Great tip!
I've spent the last few weeks playing this song in my head and every day it's more prescient and persistent.
youtu.be/xu8u9ZbCJgQ?...
I remember thinking at the time that it was going to turn into a big story but then it disappeared, like so many others.
I 100% forgot about that!!!!!
Love that dress
I sew from pre made patterns so watching someone design and create something to accommodate their needs is like watching a magic trick. Nice job
Welcome aboard. Twitter, in its heyday, was really good. But because it was so informative/entertaining, I was on it far too much. No other platform compares, imo. But I appreciate Bluesky, especially since I got rid of IG. And I suppose it's good that I spend less than an hour a day on it.
I was so in love with him back then.
Fabulous!
Has anyone made #themargo by #merchantandmills? If so, can you share pics? I'm going to start one this week and am trying to see what it looks like in different fabrics. (This is the part of Instagram I'm missing). TIA
Hi, I'm Kim from Oregon. I sew garments and quilt. I inherited a lifetimes supply of quilting cottons so am just working through my stash on that end. My approach to garment sewing is to find fabric at a garage sale/ thrift shop and then find a pattern that the fabric will work with it.
I love it; the palette is great
Oh, I am a big fan of Zak foster. From a color perspective, I have a slight preference for the teal. When you added the fabric type info, that reinforced my preference; the feel of velvet is sort of like fingers scratching on chalkboards for me. I know, it's weird.
Unbelievable
Btw, I am in portland
I can't really point to one thing I liked best because each month was so different (and, tbh, I haven't completed all the practice sessions yet). It just freed me up to play in different ways. I'm in the middle of too much right now but do plan on going back and delving into each month more fully
Oh wow! I wouldn't have done that either....it wasn't required when I set up my acct.
I hope it works out for you. Breaking the Rules was/is a great resource and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Interesting. Will you be able to watch the videos? I did last year's Breaking the Rules and it was pretty FB centric so I do have a non active acct (no 'friends', etc.) that I use for that and the marie shell workshop classes, etc. I hate having to use it though.
