Wind are a team stat, not a QB stat.

Mahomes may still be the better QB, but wins aren’t the stat line to make the argument for him.

“I’d rather read the prompt” Clayton Ramsey grades student assignments and gets papers that are just obviously ChatGPT output. I think any of us can spot it by now: awkward repetitive prose, heavy on bullet points with bold intro words, wordy, etc. There is nothing to be done about it. As an instructor, I am always saddened to read this. The ChatGPT rhetorical style is distinctive enough that I can catch it, but not so distinctive to be worth passing along to an honor council.

The journalistic malpractice in this country is crazy.

They understand their new role perfectly fine. It’s the American people (well, journalists) that do not appear to have shifted their mindset.

They’re doing exactly what they were hired to do.

We have spent far too much time talking about how we should navigate an economy/job market/creative industry flooded with AI, and not nearly enough time talking about why we should be pushing back against it, and not just for IP theft reasons.

We have CIA black sites, Guantanamo Bay, and now we even ship Americans and legal immigrants to Venezuelan prisons.

So, yeah, we do that too.

why the hell does everyone want social media to be a debate zone. fuck off! debate my balls!

“We must tolerate all views” is itself fundamentally flawed, even for the people who want to be as tolerant as possible.

Not all views deserve to be heard. Not all opinions are valid. Not all feelings are real. Despite recent recent history, you can’t just make up your own reality.

23andMe is filing for bankruptcy — so, you should reach out to your family members who might have ordered these kits to get them to request deletion of their data. And if you signed-up yourself, you should absolutely do the same!

everything started going downhill when people replaced “surfing the web” with “scrolling social media”

Well, that’s unfortunate.

“Less people do my kind of coding, so it’s more high-IQ” has to be the lowest IQ take I’ve seen in a while.

Who are these people?

Your outie applauds when a guy who keeps crashing rockets into the ocean dispatches unproven AI to sift through your private financial data.

It's also worth noting that this is what people have chosen *instead* of revolution. Inequality is at an all time high. But instead of radicalizing people towards equity, we have a bunch of individuals telling themselves if they can just screw other people *harder" that'll help them get ahead.

I haven't changed my tone on crypto from day one.

This reserve is the Big Scam(tm).

I don't argue with y'all. I don't pretend that my decades of academic and lived experience are equal to your 2 second searches and misplaced confidence. I'm not here to make you feel more knowledgeable than you are

I owe an apology to all James Bond movies. I mocked them for having completely unrealistic, cartoonish villains that simply weren't believable.

2025 has made it impossible to levy that criticism anymore.

If AI eats that whole low-level workload, what’s the pathway to become a senior designer?

I see a lot of senior/design-influencer folks talking about how no one should fear AI because of “taste” and none of them seem to appreciate the learning process of relative-grunt work we all went through.
