Even the ones from NVIDIA are garbage. Linux, in my experience, doesn't work nearly as well as Windows when it comes to gpu rendering performance.
I can run a WebGL program on an old Windows box and have very little CPU impact. Run that same program on a NEWER RHEL box and its using 30% CPU.
Linux is great for work stuff but if you do ANYTHING graphical prepare to suffer. Their graphics drivers SUUUUUUUCK!
