Cringe is relative. You may think you’re not cringe bc you don’t like tadc or whatever, but someone else might think you’re cringe for liking anime.

Point is you have to be okay with people judging you. You can’t control what others think of you

I should also add, people will always judge you and may find you cringe no matter what you do. And that’s okay. You cannot take what people think of your interests personally

I was looking at my old deviantart when I was looking for old art to redraw again and I couldn’t help but cringe a little. but I had to forgive myself bc I was just a kid and honestly I was so free and happy with myself then, I couldn’t help but still feel like this pang of bittersweet feelings

“To be cringe is to be free” is genuinely a statement you should live by I think
I’d rather hang out and talk to someone who’s into something “cringey” than someone whose personality is hating on “cringey” things

I’m serious you should not worry about being cringe. Nothing is cringier than trying to be so nonchalant and not passionate about anything and burying your feelings under 15 layers of irony bc you’re afraid of seeming a little corny. That mindset will lead you to nothing but misery

Thank you Courtney!! I was really into toony styles, I was super influenced by a lot of cartoons I grew up with, then somehow I hard shifted to more anime inspired, I sometimes wonder what my 13 year old self would think of my style now, I think she’d be proud :’)
