Worth viewing Reddit - search for ‘newly diagnosed with long Covid’ or ‘just diagnosed with long Covid’ and you will sadly discover that from recent infections this is an ongoing thing. Not consigned to the official Pandemic period but ongoing.

‘They pushed so many lies about recycling’: the fight to stop big oil pumping billions more into plastics Plastic production has doubled over the last 20 years – and will likely double again. For author Beth Gardiner, metal water bottles and canvas tote bags are not the solution. So what is?

Trying to use less plastic?

Big Oil and the plastics industry are spending billions to make sure everyone else uses more.

“I think what stood out most is the deliberateness and intentionality over the years of pushing plastic into our lives,” said @bethgardiner.bsky.social. “It was such a shock."

A total of 1,001,509 index patients with COVID-19 and 207,090 with influenza met the inclusion criteria. Transmission rates were highest among index patients aged <12 years (COVID-19, 40.17%; influenza, 33.51%). Transmission from children was disproportionately high, while age-combination analysis demonstrated elevated transmission both from and to children for both diseases. COVID-19 exhibited increased transmission among adults. As the primary drivers of household transmission for both COVID-19 and influenza, preventive strategies should be tailored to children. COVID-19 interventions must also address transmission among adults to strengthen household-level infection control.

Surprise! (Not)

And guess where those index-case kids were infected? School/daycare!

We know how to prevent this. And choose not to 🤬

Smart Air’s Blast purifier placed beside a classroom bookshelf filled with children’s books, illustrating proper air purifier placement in a school setting.

Is your air purifier against the wall? You could be losing 95% of its airflow

📍 Move it just 15cm away (a hand's length) and you're back to 100%. Small tweak, big difference.
