LOVED SHROUD!! Really cool to read it while the Artemis II mission was going on. Very very well-deserved!

As a world leader threatens to destroy a civilization, the only safe humans are the handful in space. @aptshadow.bsky.social not sure I appreciate Children of Ruin playing out like this. Any word on octopuses aboard the ISS or Artemis II??

It was not perfect but man, I really looked forward to it each week and thought it to a lot better in S3. And come on, Shohreh Aghdashloo ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I think about this too!! I have a 1lb+ bag of salt and just dump from it profligately, into my pasta water or into my salt cellar. Sometimes it kinda blows my mind. Not to mention my spice cabinet!!

Man, a lot of people loved it, but it did not quite work for me! Mister Terrific was legit, though. Weirdly I think I enjoyed the Superman cameos in Peacemaker more than the movie itself.

Our 5 year old has been talking SO much about "bone people" and "dead people" as Halloween decorations have been multiplying around our neighborhood. He finds the word "skeleton" a little scary, but "dead person" sounds so much worse to me!!

The funny thing is, this trailer reminded us to finally cancel our subscription. Thanks Disney!!!!

There is a sweet spot of tired where kiddo actually gets drowsy and goes to sleep. We hit that spot maybe once every six months and rejoice when we do. But mostly, itโ€™s wired because insufficiently tired or wired but WORSE because over-tired.

Gosh I feel this! We got the beautiful stepstool and have a few legit adorable photos... but now the stepstool lives in a different room because as kiddo got bigger, stepstool became a weapon. I still make dinner most nights, he builds legos with Dad, and we're all (mostly) happy.

ONCE AGAIN I have physically attached to my computer a note distinguishing supra from infra. Having looked it up and thought *deeply* about superior v. inferior, I will retain this information for approximately two days. But by next Monday, forget about it. It'll be gone again.

Three women converge on a City of Refuge: a girl destined for the perfect marriage, an apprentice torn between the right thing and the life she loves, and a mercenary who just wants to get paid but can't sit by when one of her own violates the laws of Sanctuary.

I think this is a big part of why I loved Section 31 despite... some notes. Michelle Yeoh is so obviously having fun, and it is SO contagious.

Okay, I 1000% get the objection to this particular recovering heroin addict, but I'm not sure about this gotcha. Isn't it... a good thing that a heroin addict can recover and have the chance to be awful in front of the Senate?? I mean, again, not this particular one.

Sometimes kiddo will eat our grown-up dinner, sometimes he'll eat a sort of de-constructed version (ie., things separate, no sauce) and sometimes it's chicken nuggets and peas ๐Ÿ˜… I think together is worth it, even if it is often us talking to each as other as Elsa and Sonic the Hedgehog???

5 year old is utterly delighted by my extremely basic sleight of hand magic tricks, and it is possibly the best thing ever.

Got outside whilst partner had kiddo, dodged the drizzle and winced through a squelchy lawn, to put down some more compost and straw and pull a few weeds. Just a lil half hour or so, but WHEW that garden time felt so good!!

Iโ€™m making green shakshuka tonight with a metric ton of salad greens, I think kale would also be great!

I always call these guys ping pongs! Love to see a flock of ping pongs descend on our feeder. Cutest little things!

I too received the good news of fish spatulas, probably a few months ago now, and it is Changed Everything. They are so handy, I use mine several times per week!

An underrated joy in life is finding a great series really late in the game. What's that, I found a book I love and there are like 9 books more I get to read?? Like sinking into a warm bath... which happens to be full of snarky magical lawyers. (yes, it IS @maxgladstone.bsky.social's Craft sequence)
