Looking at where were are now, it’s clear that his legacy is great in a lot of areas but the damage his opposition to the NEP caused carries the potential to destroy everything else since it’s what’s allowed the current UCP to destroy all the other legacies via outright oil lobbyist corruption.

So, as I suspected, the police response to the shootings of Democratic elected officials in Minnesota was actually a complete disaster www.startribune.com/new-details-...
Or worse, remember it wrong and blithely forge ahead with your misremembered wrongthing

More candidates like this in the USA, please. Speaking the obvious truth with bluntness and passion. This is very much The Way!
…seems like they may come out ahead by outmaneuvering the UCP’s legal Cease & Desist by rebranding the Alberta Party. I really hope it works.
We HAD a deal negotiated, with the SAME PRESIDENT, and it wasn’t worth the paper it was written on. Negotiating with a failed state like the current US is an exercise in futility and we should honestly just be moving on to saner pastures.
The RCMP commissioner has written to the premier of Alberta to correct multiple falsehoods in the recent “Alberta Next” video on provincial policing.

Today marks 16 years since the federal minimum wage was last raised.
Guess how much the wage would be today if it kept up with worker productivity over the years?
Water privatisation has been a complete & utter failure.
It is absurd that the government's report into the water industry didn't even consider public ownership.
That's not a report. That's a political broadcast for the private sector.
Put water back into public hands, now.
“this £85 billion represents a direct transfer of value from the public to private owners — a sum extracted while storm overflows proliferated, leakage targets were missed, and river health declined”
What a chart!
Don’t do this to yourself my friend. It’s just…infuriating.
Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.
The 3 minute propaganda video they make you watch before even participating in any given survey (including ones we have unequivocally ALREADY given “No”s to like AB Pension and provincial Police) is literally infuriating.
Yes please, but can some of this go towards building and investing in high speed national-owned rail to connect the country together? (Also, don’t know that I love cutting funding from other public services to do this…)
We should all be outraged about how yearly layoffs have become normalized within companies.
Corporations aren’t people, money isn’t free speech, and we need to End Citizens United.
Repost if you agree.
New U of T (Toronto) modeling confirms what lived experience already shows: Housing First works. It reduces overdose deaths, ER visits, and public drug use while saving money. The evidence is clear. It’s time to scale up what we know is effective.

Also not any of the dozens of farmers protesting against coal mining in the eastern slopes and how it will poison their water supply. >.>
Breaking news: Federal immigration officers may deport immigrants with as little as six hours’ notice to countries other than their own, even without assurances that the arrivals will be safe from persecution or torture, a top official said.
…it’s super wild to me how much US-ians pay for health insurance every month, even on the “affordable” side honestly.
