My father was born in the late 1930s. They thought he’d be dead before reaching the age I am now. He’s now a rebellious 80s-someone. My own life expectancy, and yours, has also increased dramatically, wherever you are in the world. Yes, inequality and inequity remain, but not all’s bad in the world.

In Norway, the world’s most mature EV market, they already knew this, so there they happily buy second-hand EVs.

In less mature EV markets, ie the UK, depreciation is significant as buyers don’t yet get it.
