Roseman's magic trick is that he's able to borrow money from future caps (which will be higher, and therefore make it worth technically less than current money) by paying guys more now. The owner, Lurie, is willing to front money to people in a way that a lot of cheapass NFL owners don't.

I think some creative folks just get comfortable and can't do the thing the way they used to. Some can handle the transition and some can't. I think of it like some athletes can hang around way longer than others, Jagr, Ryan, etc.

I didn't always love his movies, although I loved the ones I loved as much as I have liked anything, but the extent to which David Lynch was able to make his weird and singular art in exactly the way he wanted to make it, for so long, is an inspiration. His whole life was an artistic statement.
