who's gonna tell this guy they don't listen anyway? (i've sworn off arguing w/these ppl but for fuck's sakes it has become a point of pride among democrats since bill clinton to say "fuck you" to the left as loud and as often as possible).

and this is taking place despite the party's electeds being all over the map on this subject - imagine the numbers if they were all on the same page?
The reason I don't blame the Democratic party is because they are controlled opposition and win either way.
I blame the R voters for frothing out the mouth for multiple genocides and the D voters for hating welfare so much they let Clinton pervert the party into dickless center-rights.
obama said "push me to be better" but when anyone pushed he whined about how they were all a bunch of spoiled babies who wanted ponies.
i regularly vote for dems but "push them" has been bullshit ever since bill clinton and his rotten ideas fundamentally destroyed the party.
that shit just translates as "block me, asap!"
this is willful stupidity on your part
"guardrails" = cowardly, stupid
The Democratic Party has failed miserably in meeting this fascist moment. It's stunning & it's shameful.
I DID vote for Harris, but I view the cowardly Democratic Party as the party of rollover-instead-of-fight & fascism-lite. They're SO culpable: in Gaza, Iran, w/ our fucked economy, & more.
he did say he was gonna lower the eligibility age to 62 which, uh...
After spending ten solid years as a debunker, I don't buy into any conspiracy theories out there. I grow my own
99% of registered dems want a public option in healthcare - presumably the party isn't talking about the public option lately because they're prioritizing the 1% that opposes it.
can't wait for senator fluffernutter's next POTUS-FAIL speedrun - look at this gasbag angrier at non-voters than he has ever been at republicans* - what a fucking joke - proud to live in NJ and never voted for him.

it's a drag to me that more ppl don't talk about vote suppression - harris probably would have pulled up about even w/trump (not a great showing tbh, but still) and maybe even won the electoral college if not for the (at this point) millions of voters republicans are throwing off the rolls.
i suspect the dems are going to do fairly well in '26 and possibly win in '28 as well even though they're doing zero to earn it - but if this (waves arms around) is the new normal and they do nothing to reverse course, the small gains they make over the next 3 years will be wiped out in '30 and '32.
theyre responding to overt fascism with "this is why things are so expensive!"
when DOGE was rampaging through the gov't people were asking why dems weren't doing anything and privately dems were scoffing at voters expecting them to actually fight and put themselves on the line for something.
it will never cease to amaze that these people will point out how awful things are but never note how little democrats are promising to fix - they're literally running around condemning the war because IT'S MAKING PRICES GO UP - is that opposition? they're so fucking cowardly it's demoralizing.
always note: these people never have a word to say about a genuine measurable problem: massive republican vote suppression.
jimmy carter and ronald reagan had similar problems with ISR and both flexed and got what they wanted - the idea that biden defenders keep trying to sell (biden was just a smol bean w/no power) is utterly absurd.
remarkable that THOSE voters never come in for condemnation from you folks - i'd expect to see hundreds of agonized editorials and posts along the lines of "why can't genocide supporters fuck off" but nope - it's just day after day whining about all the votes the left owes to the democratic party.
the minute you ask one of these folks a simple question about M4A or not funding genocide you will get the most convoluted doubletalk imaginable in response - they're fine with "nothing to do with the way real people talk" when it suits their purposes.
That's because "officer involved shooting" is an attempt to imitate the sound of real technical terms.
AIPAC Tracker says GA Senator Jon Ossoff has clocked over 5 million dollars from PACs and donors associated with zionist extremists.
*yeah, i still like AIPAC TRACKER - the "it's a republican who lives in germany!" stuff is bullshit.
barely a couple of months ago trump was having dissenters shot on the streets and this jerkoff is doing affordability - don't hold your breath waiting for AIPAC dems* to be useful because it's not gonna happen

The Strokes ended their Coachella set with the song "Oblivius", highlighting US involvement in the overthrow/deaths of Patrice Lumumba, Omar Torrijos, Mohammad Mosaddegh, Juan José Torres, Martin Luther King Jr, Jacobo Árbenz, Salvador Allende, Jaime Roldós, and destruction in Gaza and Iran.
it positively reeks of desperation.
damn shame, really. their casting was impeccable for so long - one role after another and they always seemed to find the perfect actors.

Without stating your age, post your favorite film released the year you turned 18.
My latest.
I’ve been watching the media coverage of the murders of Dr. Cerina Fairfax and Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer.
One way media can fight back against male violence:
If you kill your wife, you don’t get to be called a “husband” any more.
You’re her killer.
