Composer Michael Giacchino Looks Back on Tomorrowland, 10 Years Later - D23 Michael Giacchino reflects on scoring Tomorrowland, its message of hope, and the legacy it's built a decade after release.

"It has touched a large group of people in a way that we didn’t know. As you go out and engage with fans, you realize what it’s meant ... new people are discovering it. We all felt a really positive energy making it, and we’re feeling that energy towards the film now.”

I know I've been away from here. I'm alive and well-ish. Was off here for *points at everything*. In the meantime I lived in Japan for 3 months, but halfway through I injured my back, not serious but annoying. I'm back in Florida now. Not sure if I'll stay on BlueSky but wanted to update everyone.

Indeed, we also have 50 mini-governments that really like doing their own thing

If you’re a federal govt employee targeted for leave or termination on the basis of your DEI work, please file an EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) complaint & retain legal counsel.

I’m a former NIH PI. Happy to refer you to a law firm that has successfully sued the govt many times!

I honestly kept reading this thinking it was from EV owners for some reason (ICE also means Internal Combustion Engine). Like "why do EV owners hate ICE powered vehicles?"

Doing my regular job where luckily no one talks politics, lifting heavy weights and maybe have some whiskey at night...definitely not watching the news and will barely touch social media.

Well I'm glad they decided to make it entirely indoors instead of going inside and outside like the Matterhorn.

IMO it isn't much different than Alexa or Siri for most people. Sure, there's occasionally something you want them to do, but also things they still fail at as well. Most people like specific things to use tools for, not "everything" in a nebulous sense.
