How I feel these days: "Through the Looking Glass," bad mojo edition. Like others, I am assembling a playlist for the day he leaves office. Lead cut is Wendy Carlos, Sinfonia to Cantata No. 29 from Switched-On Bach.

Thinking of the orange one in relation to this John Scalzi quote: "The failure mode of clever is 'asshole.'"

Since removal of a president invokes the Succession Act, who'd be next will interest impeachment fans. The order: V-P Vance, Speaker Johnson, Sen. Pres. Pro Tem Grassley (92), followed by Cabinet officers (Secty. of State Rubio first). Turning Congress blue is also vital.
Ah, that dude. Setting himself up for grief.
Who are you taunting? I need to know so that I can also taunt.
All this is making me feel cheerful. An unaccustomed feeling.
Congratulations to Hungary! In other news, the orange one revealed himself as the Antichrist. As if we hadn't surmised that. (So, Scott, it wasn't you after all. I'm crestfallen.)
Edwin Starr, still relevant.
Oh, yeah, that was the Obama Iran deal.
"Tonight we ask all of you to join with us in choosing hope over fear, democracy over authoritarianism, the rule of law over lawlessness, ethics over unrivaled corruption, resistance over complacency, truth over lies, unity over division, and peace over war.”--Bruce Springsteen, April 9 at a concert
If your Uncle Phil acted like the orange one has recently--the contradictory statements, the vicious social media posts, the barrage of lies, the chaos and nonsense--your family would have him locked into a compulsory treatment facility. But the GOP is a dysfunctional family.
"The president's crazy/Did you hear what he said." Partial lyric from "Making Flippy Floppy" on the album Speaking in Tongues by Talking Heads, 1983. Also, right now.

Who? Jesus?
Your warmth reminds me of a summer's day in San Francisco.
Dude. Three of them were from me.
Also budget cuts in south Puget Sound area. About 60 Timberland Regional Library staff are to be laid off. And there's talk of going to a key card access system for members only. But people are fighting back.
And yet the Jets have spoiled enough games for both of us that we will feel no pity.
I remember it also as Person in Bunny Costume Seems Psycho While Handing Out Candy and What Does This Have to Do With That Execution Story? But that's more Easter.
Cover of Prayers of the Night: A Vampire Novella by Timothy Mosher. Photo is of a priest holding a monstrance in a setting of incense smoke in the dark.
My novella is now also available in paperback.
Pretty damned clear.
To those who blame all Americans for Trump, and those Americans who say "we" screwed up: more than 75 million of us voted for Harris. Many millions of us are working to end Trump's presidency. Drop your vast generalizations. And please, take a critical thinking class.
Actually more like 180 sign-ups. I hadn't included the totals from the wandering canvassers--didn't see their sheets. The excellent field organizer recapped the outcomes for us yesterday.
Protests activate people. At Olympia No Kings 3 yesterday, I helped sign people up for the email list for No Hate in WA State, organized to fight two November anti-LGBTQ+ ballot initiatives. The issue was new to much of the crowd of thousands, but we got about 80 sign-ups and spread the word.
