Both of my knees, ankles, wrists and shoulders are swollen beyond belief. To the point of barely being able to sit or stand without crying in pain.

Chronic illness is so weird because one day you are totally fine with a perfect combo of meds keeping your body functional, then you do one little thing, like removing 2000 lbs of trash from your parent’s hoarded garage, and BAM! A crippling system wide inflammation flare takes you out.
I was laid off by Omnicom on October 1st 2025. It is now mid April and I have not had a single interview, and im still getting rejection emails from applications I sent in 2025. This is not a unique experience. Long term unemployment is rising, and there is no plan to help people get by. Im tired.
Record profits are unpaid wages and unpaid taxes.
Sending good juju in your direction.
The very conservative Rod Drehrer, who attended the Catholic baptism of JD Vance: “Not saying Trump is the Antichrist. But he’s radiating the spirit of Antichrist, no question.”
You’re right.
That might not be enough time to bury the Statue of Liberty and distribute 400 million ape costumes.
There is nothing worse than aggressive stupidity.

Carsey School of Public Policy Figure 1. More Women Aged 20 to 39, but Fewer Had Given Birth by 2024 Than Expected [chart] Source: Current Population Survey, U.S. Census. Analysis: K. M. Johnson, Carsey School, UNH. The widely discussed "demographic cliff" reflects the cumulative impact of fewer women having children and diminishing fertility levels that has resulted in 11.8 million fewer U.S. births between 2007 and 2024 than it pre-recession fertility rates had been sustained.- In 2024, there were 688,000 fewer births than in 2007—a 16 percent decrease-even though the number of women in their prime childbearing years (aged 20-39) was 10 percent higher.
We are a generation of endlings, cropping off micro-branches of the human evolutionary tree.
Pam Bondi is a criminal and part of a criminal organization. Full stop.
So I guess this is a long winded invitation to other Autistic, Audhd and Adhd folks who are facing this with their aging parents to connect, commiserate, and maybe start to talk about strategies to help each-other through it.
I’ll be honest, my mom at 67 has autistic meltdowns that are as intense as those of an asd child. The majority of Autism research over the last 80 years focusses on children, some on young adulthood, and almost none on the aging. There are no resources for this population or their caregivers.
The cognitive decline of aging adds a layer of complexity. if your parents are like mine, they’re probably highly resistant to therapy or psychiatry, and have very few tools in their toolbox for managing stress that aren’t “maladaptive.” They don’t accommodate the traits that they see as weakness.
I don’t see many in the Autism and Neurodiversity communities talk about the challenges of caring for aging parents who are themselves undiagnosed Autistic/ADHD. Many of our parents have gone their whole lives unidentified, unsupported, and bare knuckling their way through life.
100% I would much rather change things in my environment to make life less challenging for my sensory needs, and let my autistic brain thrive, than to try to make myself more neurotypical.
I need y'all to understand something: the crack epidemic that destroyed Black communities in the 1980s was not an accident. It was a feature of American imperialism.
Trump is spending billions on war while he tears food and medicine away from children.
I think a lot about the idea of setting up neighborhood drop off centers for used household items, furniture, electronics, etc. Anything you’re getting rid of thats still usable. They would be state funded, anyone could drop things off, and anyone could come and take things at no cost.
If you could rewrite the rules of society what what you introduce beyond the big stuff (access to healthcare/housing)?
If I ever get my dream house in the woods, I’m gonna spend the rest of my life turning it into a museum of my life with little displays of all my trinkets and placards explaining the stories behind them, so when I inevitably die alone in said house, it’ll be like I’m the final unfinished display.

These job postings are getting extra absurd. Work 24/7, get paid “no fixed salary”
Hegseth and Stephen Miller ridiculed "rules of engagement" and vowed this war won't be "politically correct." Now it looks like we may have bombed an elementary school. Hegseth/Miller's certainty that their version of "strength" would have support is imploding. 3/

Unfortunately a lot of those parents are being propagandized to by the American Evangelical movement to believe that empathy is actually undesirable or downright sinful, so relying on individual parents to fix this problem is a dead end. We need a cultural reset to get out of this mess.
Dan Goldman could never get my vote. Excited to vote for a congressperson I would be proud to say represents NY10.
“Entitled”
"This is the most shocking, damaging, and over-reaching thing I have ever seen the United States government do," said one former Trump administration AI policy adviser. The DoD has created an impossible mess:
This is the most responsible action we’ve seen any of these AI companies take since coming on the scene.
You’re not wrong 😭
America is too big to be this fucking stupid.
