Agreed! Very pretty cards.

Nice! Not working on too much right now. I am trying to get all the ABA cards from 71-72 and 73-74. That would give me all the ABA cards. What about you?
That Whitey Ford is right up there with the Minoso for my money.
A few years ago, @spoart.bsky.social completed his 1970 Kellogg’s baseball set, which got me interested. Such a beautiful set! Took me awhile, but my final piece arrived the other day. Thanks for the push Mike!
Sorry I’m late to the party!
I agree, good blog post. There is a big card show in Dallas that I went to about three times in 2022-23, but while it did not seem so non-sports slanted as you're seeing, there was very little vintage baseball, like 10% or less. Is this reaaly what people like these days???
This team was pretty good too!
A great team from a great season. @spoart.bsky.social @tjpilotsfan.bsky.social @sabrbbcards.bsky.social @heavyjstudios.bsky.social
Can never get enough of that!
You plan on collecting the set?
I love the tabs!
Very cool there with the puzzle on the backs
About 3 yrs ago @spoart.bsky.social was finishing his 1970 Kellogg’s set & it was so beautiful, I decided to try. Almost there now (just need Stargell) but much more recently. I started working on 1972, and this came in to complete it the other day! Now to get that 70 Stargell!
Especially if they were high numbers!
Probably why I don't sell!
And while Jason you're completely right that giving just a little on condition can make things a lot more affordable, so does skipping the Buy It Now and patiently bidding in auctions instead. Here are some bargains I've gotten in the past year of players in their prime! 8 HOFers; $28.56.
Harmon & Brooks are two guys that seem to be consistently underpriced, for mid-career cards even. And that's when they were in their prime!
It's the "here are great players and here is their rookie card" hall of fame. Not for me.
The catchers' cards alone in that set are incredible. Still need one more to get them all!
I anxious to see what follows!
No Cy Young Award in 1954, unfortunately, but had there been, my vote would go to Antonelli.
I’m almost too late, but happy 100th to one of the finest competitors ever to suit up. Bobby Shantz
Oooh, that’s a good one!
I like!!
I keep forgetting that baseball cards continued to be produced after 1981.
Where’s the Hostess? He’s the only guy to appear as a player for both Bowman & Hostess!
How could anyone NOT have been a Kris Munroe fan??
Go Tigers! Play strong here!
That would go nicely in my collection!
For my #SABR friends: some friends of mine are really die-hard Tigers fans and are panicking. Anybody know of some near-collapses where the team held on to win the pennant? We all know about teams like the 64 Phillies who blew it-I'm looking for some who held on. @heavyjstudios.bsky.social
