Maduro was a brutal ruler, it’s true. So is Putin—who Trump supports. So was Bolsonaro, who Trump supports. So was the drug-trafficking former head of Honduras, who Trump just pardoned. So is Nayib Bukele in El Salvador. MBS. Bibi.

Stop pretending Trump cares about illegitimacy or brutality.

The NDIS does not increase “welfare dependency” (as asserted in today's AFR). It increases employment. Under the NDIS, labour force participation of people with disability (PWD) grew from 53% to 61%. For people without disability it barely changed. Unemployment for PWD declined from 10% to 7%.

Sign the Petition Stop McDonald's from Opening in Northcote

High Street Northcote, Thornbury & Preston was named the coolest street in the world by Time Out last year.

This is because of its independent spirit, strong culture, and independent businesses.

The last thing High Street needs is a McDonalds.

“Hi everyone, I just need to be clear my priority is revoking access as quickly as possible for this participant,” NDIA chief executive Rebecca Falkingham wrote to senior colleagues on June 7 last year. “All other issues are a second-order priority.”

Desperado Dutton is trying to relaunch the No campaign, throwing Aboriginal people under a bus to try to win the election. This is a pathetic admission from Dutton that he has no vision, nothing positive to talk about, no solutions to problems. All he has is division, culture warring. Not a leader.

I also make the point here of observing that nowhere in the Respondent’s final submissions is any reference made to the circumstances as to why Mr Paul abruptly ceased giving his oral evidence. They also did not refer to his subsequent admission to hospital. I consider these to be serious omissions given the serious assertions in the closing submissions as to Mr Paul’s lack of credibility and evasiveness when giving his evidence.

Man various disabilities wins access to NDIS after being refused. He is hospitalised ~because~ of having to give evidence at tribunal, counsel for NDIS agency submit his evidence was unreliable and make no mention of the fact he was taken by ambulance to hospital. www.austlii.edu.au/cgi-bin/view...
