Proud to have DSA LA’s support in this race. I look forward to working together to fight for renters & workers.
Thank you @jacobinmag.bsky.social for laying out the clear stakes of this race: an attorney who serves the people or an incumbent who serves the powerful.

Posts by Marissa Roy For LA City Attorney
When we fight for the rights of healthcare workers, we fight for the rights of patients and the health of our communities— and I look forward to being your champion in City Hall.
Too often, healthcare workers are not afforded the adequate staffing, safety standards, or compensation to match their critical work.
Healthcare workers deliver lifesaving care every day. I am honored to have the endorsement of thousands of the nurses, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals carrying out this work.

Marissa Roy, one of the candidates for City Attorney seeking to oust sitting attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto referenced "whistleblowers" who had previously warned of data privacy concerns in the City Attorney's Office, in a statement Roy's campaign just sent over.
BREAKING: The LA City Attorney’s office had a data breach of over 300,000 sensitive documents, including victims’ private information. The City Attorney not only kept knowledge of the breach concealed – she ignored data privacy concerns raised for months before it happened.

Happy Easter Sunday to everyone celebrating across LA!
Echoing the words of Pope Leo’s holiday message, may this holiday provide hope in the face of violence and injustice, for us to channel in a united fight for equity and true peace.

For more than a century, the Supreme Court has affirmed the 14th Amendment right that guarantees children born in the United States are citizens.
The Supreme Court must not cower to the president’s will and upend this national promise. We were at the court today defending this fundamental right.
I have had the honor of being invited to Passover celebrations in recent years — I've loved the chance to experience these Seders, and the resonant message that all people deserve safety and freedom.

If elected, I will do all I can to ensure the City Attorney’s Office is an active partner in the fight against the Trump Administration, ICE, and their corporate enablers.
I am so grateful for all the ways @robbonta.bsky.social has stepped up at this moment of federal assault to protect the most vulnerable communities in our state, including in LA.
I am equally grateful for his endorsement and his trust.
Our campaign is built by and for the people, which means we need you!
We need doors knocked, postcards written, texts sent, and all forms of amplification from now until Election Day on June 2nd to help make City Hall work for all of us.
⭐ GET INVOLVED: marissaroy.us/volunteer
We should be ready to sue the Administration for illegal activity on our City’s property and to prosecute ICE agents violating the law.
Our current City Attorney isn’t protecting us against Trump and ICE — but I’ll be ready to fight on day one.
LA’s City Attorney should be aggressively fighting Trump in court for all his reckless decisions harming people in LA, and we should be preparing to respond to this one.
ICE is already in our streets, and now they’re in airports, terrorizing civilians. They’re not in LA yet, but it’s only a matter of time.
Join us for postcarding and write to your neighbors about making City Hall work for all of us!

Q: The best place to be on March 10?
A: Marissa’s birthday trivia night!
Next month, come celebrate Marissa and her campaign to be a City Attorney that fights for all of LA with a trivia fundraiser hosted by the candidate and quizmaster herself.
The incumbent City Attorney might talk big on safety, but she’s the one failing to take on abusive landlords, exploitative corporations, Trump, and ICE — the real threats to our public safety.
Those are the fights I will prioritize, for real safety for every person in Los Angeles.
A true sign of the strength of our people-powered campaign: right-wing misinformation tactics from our own “Democratic” city leaders.
