Yesterday, I had the privilege of speaking to the California Writers' Club-Orange County Branch about connections and the author life. Amazing group, beautiful venue. (So yeah, I joined, too. Authors need authors!)

It's funny, because as an avid reader, I want to be the "book was better" person but it's not always true.
Sometimes, a book has a concept that become *more* as a show and then you go read the source material and it's like...if you *squint* you can see where the magic started. A little.
That sounds fantastic.
Just spent the last 5 minutes wearing the eraser down to the nub because my 9-year-old was trying to write his "book review" on DIBS and a) he hasn't read it and b) he had it by "ALLISON HUBBARD" and that's *not* my pen name and really he should know better.
