Holding my breath to see how deeply the Oracle layoffs cut into the Java team. This is a really bad time to undercut critical infrastructure like the JDK. AI isn't replacing developers, it's just killing them off and leaving everything broken.

Well, my #Java journey has come to an end. Today my role at Oracle has been terminated.
I’m open to any job leads y’all may have.
Most companies underestimate vendor risk. Until it hits them.
Java is different. Oracle leads. IBM, Amazon, Microsoft, SAP, Azul and others invest too.
Not a single-vendor story. That’s why I recommend Java.
