Finalizing my tracks for my last self release album on bandcamp. With all that is going on in the world of music and how it just seems impossible or is it improbable or even impractical to reach a target audience to listen. Perhaps it’s time to take a break. Thinking the release will be mid May
As a musician myself there are several background happy accidents inside my own recordings. I was recording an intro vocal for a sci-fi cinematic songs and forgot to turn off my monitors fully. The feedback added a perfectly timed effect I’d never had gotten or thought of.
the moral decay of the USA where you are perfectly fine with ignoring the heinous acts of certain individuals because it 1. doesn’t effect them or 2. believe it’s necessary to achieve their goal - in the cover of saying it’s for the greater good
i tend to draw a line between what is considered music and what is just considered noise. and lots goes into what amount of effort went into its creation.
I tend to give more weight and validity to a party that will present their objections backed with some form of evidence and explanation to how they got to that conclusion. The rafts of neigh sayers that any topic will have that come with not justifying arguments against are just background noise
so much of everything is fake today it’s hard to know what isn’t artificial.
the mixes on SomaFM is just the best. i’ve loved Groove Salad and Space Station. one of those days i will see if they accept some of my music.

i went for a coffee and was listening to an audiobook with my airpods pro. i put them back into the charge case in my left hand and carried the trash with my right. threw the trash out and then that sudden panic that i threw my airpods away. still in my left hand that my brain failed to recognize

slowly working and reworking the script for episode one of
my space drama podcast. don’t really know what to label it as. i what was planned as being a half hour episode, i’m sitting around the 6000 words so it might be a tad outside of what was planned. but editing can fix a whole load of things
sort of sucks that their definition of up and working isn’t the same as mine. the spiny wheel of death to me is not functioning where Bluesky seems to think it’s ok just loading slow
But more importantly on my podcast drama storyline. i managed to figure out and commit to pages how one of
my characters came about. A back history to help tie together the side events inside my story timeline to understand why. About 4231 words by pages count. A very
productive afternoon.
Today was a productive day i believe. I didn’t get what i was asked to get done even started. i did however get the christmas lights removed off the front columns for the house and actually put away and labeled into their own box in the shed. A definite step forwards.
i would have thought my gag reflex and leaving the room when she watches her TV serials like Gilmore Girls or Sullivans Crossing. everyone has a preference and mine isn’t soppy feelie love stuff. Just like she doesn’t like Firefly or the Expanse.
i told my wife what my new project is and her response was classic. ‘what is a dystopian space thriller/horror?’ then into why can’t you just do normal stuff like everyone else. Always doom and gloom. space pew pew pew. why not something happy for a change.

Not saying that what is coming out is any good. it might be total crap for all i know. but there sure seems to be a whole lot of it flowing. Perhaps the crap thing is valid than i know
if the candidates were running as independent then i might tolerate it. but if you ran under the banner of one party then the people you represent in your constituency voted you in under those campaign platforms. so to jump ship and change party is like changing platform . should be a new vote then
It feels like i can post like the real authors now. I wrote 375 words today. i think it would be more accurate to say i kept 375 of the words that i wrote , but that isn’t what the real authors say
but i will admit to i recorded the 7:13 of me narrating those 375 words and set them with music

i am going to guess because i followed @scalzi.com when he mentioned moving here in Whatever, now i have a feed filled with authors. Not Neil Gaiman as he got shunned by me-too ending his career. i am contemplating starting a serial podcast space drama. use some of audio music experience for it
not to quit making music as once an artist, always an artist. but out trying to compete against a system clearly designed to entice musicians in to look progressive, while simultaneously setting them up for failure to preserve that status quo.
It feels like i’ve been in radio silence for more than a month now. It’s not that i’ve dropped off the face of the earth. it’s been a time of discovery and planning my next move. after several years feeling like i’m banging my head against the glass floor of the music industry i’m out.
My only concern would be the white stuff below the food. I am a bit of a stickler that a Charcuterie board needs the board part and that must be wooden
i can’t afford to go eat out at mcdonald’s. so i have to make my own Egg Matt Muffin. not as good looking but i think mine likely is more tasty
