🦇 Happy #BatAppreciationDay! Bats matter across the UK and around the world. Bat species play a vital role in ecosystems, from agricultural land to tropical forests. They pollinate plants, disperse seeds and eat insects which damage crops.

Frog and Toad sit together on the front porch, the best of friends. From "The Letter" In *Frog and Toad Are Friends*
Then Frog and Toad went out onto the front porch to wait for the mail.
They sat there, feeling happy together.
Can't wait for the next episode! AAAA beautiful lines and expressions!
Mondo wandering directly through an out of control wildfire: "Truly a marvel to witness the ingenuity of man against the elements"
Very fun, compelling, moving performance both music and visuals, just great all the way through! Clearly a lot of hard work, kudos to you and everyone involved
Honestly that's a really grape question
My compulsive window switching is very mindful, I'll have you know
River smiles
Wonderful film, the animation is beautiful. Always surprised so few people are familiar with it!
The distant sounds of Frosty leaving streaks on the glass, nose smooshed against the window watching outside for the mail every moment until arrival
Could it be that the biological diversity of sleep patterns is in fact a great boon to the safety and efficiency of human civilization and only ever a problem due to unreasonable cultural expectations of conformity not accommodating and celebrating it?
WORLD: No, it's the night owls who are wrong

I had already liked the post! Legally you are supposed to keep it up!
That and compressors simply aren't fun to noodle with, we're usually throwing them on when we need them but they're not like a fun effect or synth where learning is fun, kinda gotta set time aside to experiment tweaking ratios and knee types to hear what it does to different signal transients
Traditional old VU meter compressors are especially hard to learn, when you can hear what the compressor is doing it usually means something is wrong (unless that's the goal)
Modern comps like Pro-C with visual feedback make learning a lot easier, seeing exactly what's happening to the signal
I want to dip tortilla chips in it
I am just out of frame holding a platter of peppermint tea and molasses cookies, stop being dramatic and get inside!
(Also this caption matches the alt text I added when I posted the card)
"I am Woof, son of Dogh"
People simply don't understand how these processes work, they mistakenly ascribe the word intelligence to it but these systems simply do not think. It's much worse than offloading our critical thinking to something more intelligent than us, it's offloading it to something that does not think at all
Have these models ever come back a day or a week later to say "Hey, I was wrong about that data I gave you last week, I found new info and here is the correct answer" or "That logo I made for you last night, after some thought I came up with a much better version"? Of course the answer is no (1/2)
We used to be able to drink wild and carefree from the stream of public creativity but now we have to bring bleach tablets and a filtration straw, beating back the malformed aberrations bubbling up from the depths all around us
My ebook preorder "unlocked" or whatever the term would be, became available for reading, about an hour ago for me! Congrats on publishing!
Photograph of a christmas card from Pipesburrow surrounded by pinecones and leaves The card features a drawing of an anthropomorphic raccoon standing in the snow and squinting. Judging by its fur and scarf the scene could be described as "heckin' wimbdy."
'tis the season for holiday cards from the always delightful @pipesburrow.bsky.social! It might be cold outside but letters from raccoons make the world just a bit warmer. Thank you my friend!
あけおめ!
he's a little complicated to paint, so i took some progress pictures to help me remember.
pink/orange/viridian/white, then cerulean and white, then cerulean and cobalt, then prussian and neutral tint. let the white of the paper show through, don't over do it!
I dunno if it translates to DJ sets exactly, but best tip I got for this when writing music was as much as possible listen to WIP tracks in mono, and pitch-shifted +/- a few semitones. Everything sounds like garbage but if it can still get you moving even a little you know something is working right
